Is stupidity [HASHTAG]#LockardKnows[/HASHTAG]

I can't begin to express my disappointment in you, Nero. Asians are supposed to be smart, but you continuously prove to be just the opposite. :pity2:

Those that physically harm themselves do so because they're mentally ill. Mentally unhealthy people can't really be expected to make the best decisions. Of course it's easy to dismiss it as "stupidity" (no, just no) when you don't understand it and can't imagine yourself doing it, but not coincidentally, those who say such things have never experienced anything that could drive them to the point of self-destructive behavior (drugs, erratic behavior, inflicting harm on yourself, suicide, etc.) in the first place.

For what it's worth (and this has sort of already been brought up), I read somewhere that the physical pain that you inflict on yourself triggers certain chemical reactions in the brain that lessens the emotional turmoil that's prevalent in your mind and provides you a temporary release from it. Usually the decision to hurt yourself also involves some sort of self-loathing as well, and there's a certain mindset (consciously or unconsciously) that tells you that you should be punished or hurt because you have little or no feeling of self-worth.

LOL @ Nero talking out of his ass again.

When I did it, I felt worthless so you are right with that one. My niece also did it at a young age but her own mother abandoned her for drugs and my brother wasn't always there for her. I've talked to her about it, she hasn't done it in awhile but I think she was relieved to know she wasn't alone. It is a tricky subject. I am just glad for most (like myself) it is only a temporary phase.

Good for her. Now, you see, I give this a right of way where there's a corrupted way of thinking due to a rough upbringing. It makes sense kinda here.

I grew up with an abusive brother (very physical), a mother who didn't do nothing to stop him, and a father who drank all the time. I love my mom but I know my one brother is her favorite. My whole family knows that. I didn't understand that when I was 13 years old.

Alright now in your case you also have a right of way due to the severity described as well as the events themselves. There is a case of fairness with this matter but there's a fine line that I draw with other cases because of lack of substance upon reasoning. Yours provides the substances that provides proper reasoning.

Also Lel at the other guy still thinking I'm bullied. Haha nah brother, just living the high life~

Yeah, this is the case for some people, not everyone. Some people do it from being bullied in school, some do it for attention, the list goes on and on. Either way, cutting still isn't okay. I know that now. My mother found out when I was 16 because a police man saw my leg. He called her... she tried to send me to someone to talk, I went twice and refused to talk. I told her I didn't need it and stopped right after. My problem was, instead of venting my frustrations and speaking up, I bottled everything in and snapped. I am glad you can better understand it though, that is what I wanted from posting about it. For people to understand it better.
