That is the term for it, sure. But again, pain is nothing more than your brain informing you that your body is being damaged.
Fair enough, I'd see sadism as more of a way for some people, but I'd imagine masochism is better for some. Then there's sadomasochism.

The adrenaline rush is what makes it feel good. Some people get higher amounts of it then others from pain.
That is part of it, sure, but it just plays into the psychological factors I am talking about. It is like a kid can bust his mouth and be fine, but then he starts crying when he sees the blood. They are fearing for the repercussions of the bodily damage being done more than reacting to the actual pain itself.

You know what I do when I say, stub my toe or drop something on my foot? I bite into my hand or arm to shift the pain to somewhere where I can tolerate it. This is why some women enjoy pain during sex, it takes away from the pain internally, transferring it, ultimately making it feel better on the inside.

Ah you mean like child birth? It is not suposta hurt as bad as women make it hurt. Women tend to feel more pain in the hospital then giving birth at home. It is all psychological.
