Roman Reigns to split from the Shield

The plan going forward is for Roman Reigns to eventually turn babyface and separate from The Shield, reports F4WOnline.com. WWE seemed to tease that idea just a little on Raw Monday night during their backstage promo. Dean Ambrose was acting like he was the superior one of the group since he still had his title and Roman Reigns didn't take too kindly to that notion.

The face turn for Reigns isn't expected to take place for the next several months, however. WWE still sees value in The Shield as a unit

Roman Reigns is my favourite member of the 3 so hope he goes on to big things after the Shield.

Smart thing to do. He's been the best out of the three so far and I think he's got the brightest future. I don't expect it to happen until post Mania but if it's done right; Reigns can be huge.

Really hope this is true. Reigns has been my favorite since the start, and I can see him having the best future. Probably one of the greatest big men in the company right now. Could play a babyface pretty well I think.

I want to see this, but hopefully Ambrose and Rollins have bright futures apart from the group as well. So far the tension teased seemed to suggest that both Seth and Roman were irritated with Dean, but I suppose that as time goes on, it'll be more clear that it's just Roman.

I'm a fan of the guy, but I think I'd prefer to see Ambrose leave the group first. All 3 are awesome and I look forward to seeing what each are capable of on their own.

Makes sense, Reigns has the best chance of succeeding on his own and I can see him getting a lot more over than the other two if for nothing else DAT SPEAR

Could be a Batista-like rise for Reigns, if they do it right. Only guy in the group that screams "top babyface" as Ambrose just looks like a heel and Rollins looks third wheel.

I'd rather see Seth Rollins leave first. I can for sure see him as a baby face in the future. He just has that look about him, plus his moveset is fucking awesome.

Reigns is a shade better than Ryback so I can see him being a big deal too. WWE love to milk them Anoai family connections..

No one should "split" from The Shield... They all should. The group began and continued as a unit unlike anything we see anymore or ever. The group should gloriously self-implode, not fragment and splinter. Or much worse, replace a member.

Anyway, I can't wait to see what Reigns and Ambrose will do while Rollins I'm still undecided. The Shield was brilliant and the group doesn't actually need to end yet but the wheels are getting wobbly. I noticed them teasing it on Raw too, Roman gave Dean looks during his promo and then won the tag match by taking care of business himself. If The Shield are done I think Reigns is the most likely to excel at this point anyway.

Kick reigns out ala Orton. Then have Ambrose lead a newly tweaked shield with Rollins as his second. Maybe recruit two members.

i would even go as far as having Ambrose and Rollins reach to NXT for a tag team to back them up

He has to get fed up with bullshit and leave on his own, it didn't help Orton get over by getting kicked out. He floundered until Taker made him. Batista was over as fuck when he left Evolution, slooooow builds my friends.....those work.

I don't mean immediately. I would tease tension. I would just have Rollins side with Ambrose and jump on him when choosing a side. I wouldn't break him from them until a mania loss tbh

Reigns has the best potential, big Samoan with a badass finisher. That gets over easier than Ambrose's pedophile looks or Rollins flips.

I would love to see this. Just not now. Would much prefer the Shield to stick together for at least past Mania and then maybe split. Defo think Reigns can be the big deal one day, He has the look, he has the family background and he has a great moveset that could easily get over with the crowd. As mentioned he has that Batista vibe about him that can work in his favour.
