Ring of Honor is planning to use a new iPPV provider moving forward. The promotion made the decision to do so after issues with Go Fight Live during the Showdown in the Sun iPPVs over Wrestlemania weekend. One person blamed the issues with the streaming on new technology that hadn't been tested right with the first broadcast, while issues with the second were attributed to a brownout in the Fort Lauderdale area.

Kevin Kelly confirmed the plans to switch on Twitter; when asked whether the May 12th event in Toronto would be an iPPV, he said:

Yes. Not on GFL though, thank God

The company is reportedly considering several different possibilities such as Hybrid.net (which does CZW's iPPVs), WWNLive.com which is run by Sal Hamaoui and Gabe Saopolsky or even bringing the iPPV broadcasts in-house.

I would have put this in tidbits because while I don't think it will start a discussion fans that watch may want to know that dont or might not usually check that thread.

After the apparent catastrophe that happened during their last iPPV, which was supposed to be a pretty big show being on WrestleMania weekend and all this is well deserved to GFL. They earned the loss of ROH, the company is very smart for actually switching instead of just sweeping it under the carpet.

I wish they'd get on regular PPV.

That would be fantastic. I'd easily pay $20 for a PPV from them. Not sure if I trust iPPV's anymore after seeing what happened last weekend but if the provider they end up with is good, I'll cave in.

The last iPPV I bought from ROH was Supercard of Honor IX (I think that was it) when Homicide returned. It was decent but not great. I guess worth the $15.

Was that when Strong took the belt? 'Cide's return was insanely awesome! Didn't amount to anything really interesting though. Strong was a boring champ... /off topic

Yup that was Black vs Strong. I believe, one of Tyler Black's last ROH matches. Yeah his return was great. When the lights went out and his theme hit, the crowd went NUTS!! Strong was pretty boring as Champ but I kinda wish we got that 'Cide/Strong match but I don't think we ever did.

Bite your tongue! Strong is the man.

I haven't watched ROH since then either.

It happened but while Homicide's return was great everything following felt stale. That's actually around when I was just getting into the indy's I believe, ROH did not have my interest at all.

I'm not the biggest Roddy supporter but he's decent, as world champ though? No thanks.

still want my money back from GFL

Would be cool but I doubt ROH can stand to lose all the money they made from the iPPV.
