Harper was solo before, won the IC title and lost it like couple weeks after, and he did jack shiz. Don't really expect anything for Harper in his singles career in the WWE.

His IC title run sucked only because he was involved in a shitty Authority storyline, tbh.

Other than that, the dude's a very good wrestler.

Does anyone else here think that Reigns was in there
simply to make Orton winning seem more of a positive...

I mean what if Orton won without Reigns in there?

Oh that was definitely a BIG factor for sure.

Also they were probably keeping an eye on the Internet because sometimes they do that & get ideas from the "IWC" ...then other times they hate the IWC & want to tick them off, makes sense right?

They fail to realize that "the IWC" is pretty much ALL OF THE wrestling fans since most of the world has the freakin Internet.

That's why I always thought the term "IWC" was stupid.

But anyway... they were probably reading how much people thought they were stupid & hate Roman Reigns so they got all mad & acted like children once again & were like:

"Let's give them Roman at #30... THAT'LL SHOW THEM!"

And then it was probably like:

"Oh yeah & it works perfect too because we can have him eliminate Taker & set that up with the added bonus being people cheering when Orton wins because they hate Roman" P


I think maybe HHH probably wanted Joe in the Rumble at some point but Vince was like naaah.... RAW is good enough for him.

I know it was HHH that wanted Orton to win the Rumble though.

For anybody who is pissed about the ending of the 2017 Royal Rumble......... This made me feel a little better



EDIT: wow... can't believe this was 11 years ago, seems like yesterday.

I've gotta give props though. Bonus points for that conspiracy theory being true.

Roman is a heel. WWE learned from their 2014/2015 mistakes and used Roman in a pretty good way the last two Rumbles, as the heat-seeking missile that leaves the crowd happy when ANYONE BUT YOU ROMAN wins.
Roman came out at #30 and everyone freaked out. "Aw son of a bitch" hollered Jim Ross. Fans chanted This Is Bullshit, as "The Guy" went out and we watched Vince McMahon force Roman over Undertaker and then Randy threw him out yay

Now he's facing Undertaker at Mania, possibly for the title, in a match that's going to have a roaring crowd. Watching the Phenom, possibly the greatest ever, in his last match putting over Roman Reigns is going to have this crowd so pro-Taker... It may be fun to watch. And one of the rare occasions that the face/heel alignments really work...

Again, if you believe Roman Reigns is a heel already and in the writers' minds you aren't supposed to cheer him and that his heat comes from being an overpushed entitled dickhead Cena 2.0 babyface we're all supposed to love, all the booking makes sense!
