13 years later and Varsity Blues is still a fun movie to watch. That to me is the mark of a great sports movie. Much like Field of Dreams and Bull Durham are still movies that I love to watch from time to time.

No surprise, I really can't get through anything Nick Cage is in. I hated the first Ghost Rider big time.

I watched some awesome movies though last night! Hung out with some friends and we watched The Thing 2011 and Drive. Both were damn good! Mary Elizabeth Winstead and ryan Gosling. <3 Finished the night off by watching The Watchmen on TV, one of my all time favorite movies.

Before Watchmen came on TV though Spiderman was on... man, I haven't seen that movie in a long time and just from watching a few minutes of it I can tell it does not hold up. It was pretty bad... it didn't seem like any of the characters felt comfortable in their parts for some reason, their acting just felt stiff.

Interesting, since I'm gonna be rewatching Spidey soon as part of my Marvel marathon. I hope you're wrong since I have fond memories of the first two.

Watchmen just hasn't been the same for me since reading the graphic novel, I struggle to sit through it now.

Imagine how bad it would have been if you'd read the GN first? I cringed a bunch of times during the film, though I still enjoyed it. The longer cut was better. Have you ever seen the Watchmen Motion Comic? It's panel by panel from the GN but the caveat is its one guy doing all the voices...including the women!

I was so close to picking up Watchmen on Blu Ray the other day. It is the extended version. The only thing that stops me is I don't want to spend $15 on something I couldn't make it through when I downloaded it. The girlfriend apparently liked it though.

Well I can see why Underworld: Awakening didn't do as well as I thought it would at the theaters. It was kind of terrible. It was nice to see Kate Beckinsale reprise her role as Selene and don the leather again, but she should have held out for a better script. The movie only clocked in at 85 minutes and left it open for yet another sequel. I think another sequel would be unnecessary at this point. Very disappointing and I am glad I didn't pay for this garbage. Overall it would only get a 2/5 stars from me.

Yes I know this isn't the review thread. I couldn't bring myself a proper review of the movie.

None of the Underworld movies are great, in my opinion. So much they COULD have done with them, I mean a war between vampires and werewolves? Bad ass... that is until they just turn into mediocre action movies with really nothing more to them, so yeah, I won't be rushing out to see this one. I WILL see it, for hot vampire Kate Beckinsale in leather, but I certainly won't be expecting much.
