Just to recap, here are some backstage news and notes from last night's Pro Wrestling Syndicate "Supercard 2012" event in Rahway, NJ:
-- Former ECW World Champion Jerry Lynn announced that at the end of 2012, he will close out his career. He said that as he is getting older, it is harder to get his body to do what he wants it to do. He wants to wind down so he can have a good quality of life.
-- PWS "Supercard 2012" drew in excess of 650 – 750 fans, one of their largest crowds to date. Due to the numbers, the promotion will have regular dates in Rahway, NJ from now on.
-- Dan Maff was injured during his bout with Jerry Lynn, but he was okay after the match. At one point, Maff couldn't feel his mouth and didn't realize he was talking at ringside. He was scheduled to turn heel at the end of the show and join the Reality Check stable, but when he got hurt, the promotion gave that spot to Jay Lethal.
-- The Amazing Red also turned heel. He appeared earlier in the show wearing a Michael Myers mask. It is said that this idea was to tease Homicide, since he wore this mask earlier in his career.
-- PWS will return on Saturday, May 2, with Bret Hart appearing. Teddy Hart will take on Matt Hardy for the first time ever. And there are plans to bring in a big Japanese name for June.
