Keri Hilson paid tribute to Grammy-winning songwriter David Foster at the 2011 BMI Pop Music Awards in Beverly Hills last night. The blonde-haired singer performed a cover of “I Have Nothing,” the 1993 power ballad Foster penned for Whitney Houston off The Bodyguard soundtrack.

“I sang ‘I Have Nothing’ (Whitney Houston) in a tribute to David Foster, 1 of the greatest songwriters EVER!” tweeted Miss Keri. “He came over & said, ‘Your performance was BAD-ASS!!’ Told you he was genius, heh.”

Lil Kim To Keyshia Cole: “You’re A Flop”

​

They urged fans to ‘Let It Go’ on their 2007 collaboration, but singer Keyshia Cole and Lil Kim are doing no such thing. Indeed, the pair have been duelling on Twitter today – stirring up much fanfare.
Following Cole’s seemingly random dig at the pint sized rapper this morning, Kim has taken a break from recording her next Pay Pal chart topper to respond.

The 26-year-old singer, real name Tremaine Aldon Neverson, released his latest album "Passion, Pain & Pleasure" in September and it has gone gold, selling more than 500,000 copies.

His 2009 album "Ready" also was certified gold.

In an interview, Songz said he avoids following musical trends.

"What you have are artists who want to attain success, and if that's what's playing on the radio, why not make that record," Songz said.
"And a lot of people that say they're gonna stay true to themselves will take a loss in that. It's like Auto Tune two years ago. But what happens is you have a whole genre of music that may die because it's depending on a trend."

After somewhat mis-shooting with her last single ‘Where You At’, Jennifer Hudson will, no doubt, be hoping for better success with its follow-up.

As fans of the Grammy winner will know, there has been some confusion as to what Hudson will release next from her sophomore set, ‘I Remember Me’. However, it appears the singer’s team have settled on what should serve as the project’s second offering.

According to All Allcess, the Rich Harrison produced ‘No One Gonna Love You’ is the latest to be lifted from the LP and officially goes for adds on Urban radio next week.

Great choice. One which Hudson needs to catch on, if she’s to build on ‘I Remember Me’s current sales total of 320,000. The set was released back in March and was backed by an all-out promotional campaign.

SWV Reuniting for New Album, Prepping Reality Show

Get the hell out of here! One of my favorite groups from the 90s, SWV (Sisters with Voices), are reuniting for a new album and a documentary style reality show. The show will document their rise to fame, break up, their return to music and the rebuilding of their relationship. I can’t wait to watch. You hear rumors throughout the years but only those on the inside can verify the truth.

After a 13 year hiatus, the Sisters with Voices are back and once again ready to take the R&B world by storm. SWV has inked a new deal with Mass Appeal Entertainment and E1 (formerly Koch Records) to release their fourth studio album.

American pop star Kelly Rowland is to join hit TV show the X Factor.
The singer, 30, is expected to be formally announced as joining the show as a new judge in the coming days. The decision comes just day after Dannii Minogue surprisingly left the hugely popular ITV series.

Today, Miss Rowland expressed her excitement at joining the show.

'I don't know what kind of judge I'll be': Kelly Rowland, pictured at the Maxim Hot 100 party in LA last week, is a new X Factor judge

She said: ‘The X Factor is an amazing show. I love Simon [Cowell] because he’s so honest. Everything he says I agree with. I don’t know what kind of judge I’ll be.’

Miss Rowland will be the third newcomer joining the panel when the programme returns later this year.
Take That star Gary Barlow has already been confirmed to appear in the series. And Tulisa Constavolos – from pop band N-Dubz – is also due to be announced.
They will join Louis Walsh, a long-running judge on the programme.

The revamp comes after both Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell decided to leave the UK version of the programme to launch the US show.

Miss Rowland has enjoyed a hugely successful pop career in the past, both as part of band and as a solo artist.

She was one third of US group Destiny’s Child. Her two band-mates were Beyonce Knowles - who has gone on to become one of the world’s biggest female stars - and Michelle Williams.

Television viewers will particularly remember Miss Williams from last year’s Strictly Come Dancing. She was a contestant on the BBC show which is, somewhat ironically, the major rival of the X Factor.

It was announced last week that Miss Minogue was leaving the UK version of the X Factor. The decision was made because of a series of scheduling conflicts.

These were caused by Miss Minogue’s role as a judge on the Australia’s Got Talent and the necessity of fitting the schedule around Take That’s huge European tour, caused by TV executives’ decision to hire Barlow.

Last night, ITV declined to comment.

After a somewhat rocky start to the week, R&B singer Keyshia Cole closed it out on cloud nine after finally tying the knot with finance Daniel ‘Boobie’ Gibson yesterday (May 21st).

The pair, who are parents to 14 month old Daniel Gibson Jr, have been engaged since January 2010; and though were set to marry in France, opted instead to make their union official this weekend in Las Vegas. There, they alo took to the skies in a helicopter to celebrate.

Announcing the news on Twitter, Cleveland Cavaliers player Gibson tweeted:

“It’s OFFICIAL!!!!! #Done & #TrulyBlessed.. Mr. & Mrs. Gibson. We appreciate all the Well Wishes! One of the Best nights of our Lives.. #NoQuestion.”
