I assume the writers thought because he drowned he would be afraid of it, but he shows many times that he's totally willing to go into it. Meanwhile, before he was resurrected by lightning, he was afraid of chainsaws and even dodged a car driving at him.This is where the movie loses me. Jason has never been afraid of water.

Of all things that bother Jason though, I bet having a house dropped on him ranks near the top of the list. :Exactly. Even in Final Chapter he kills Julie in raft.
