His power comes from the fear. It's why he took a lot longer to kill the teens in part 1 versus how fast he was offing kids in Dream Warriors.

Because he has been forgotten about. So by having Jason killing people they will think its him again and begin to have nightmares about him which makes him strong.

Because he has been forgotten about. So by having Jason killing people they will think its him again and begin to have nightmares about him which makes him strong.

They have to remember and fear him. He's able to get in their dreams right now, but they don't fear him yet.
