PROJECT PRO WRESTLING WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP G1 CLIMAX ​

GRAND FINAL​

The event opened with the four way final of A Block which featured the quartet of Rhea Ripley, Ruby Soho, Giulia and Toni Storm. Each of the four women involved in the match had their time to show what got them to this match. In the end Storm effectively took herself and Giulia out of the match following a suicide dive. Which left the duo of Soho and Ripley in the ring, the former escaped an attempted Riptide and then hit No Future then brought Ripley back to her feet and hit Destination Unknown for the pin.

Next the B block final took place a three way match t featuring the likes of Asuka, Kris Statlander and Dr Britt Baker DMD. The duo of Statlander and Baker had to form a temporary alliance in an attempt to negate the power of Asuka. This worked in the short term but eventually they brawled amongst themselves with Statlander laying Baker out with the Statlander Standard. Only for Asuka to drag her off of Baker and lock in the Asuka Lock and Statlander passed out in the hold.

Then the C Block final saw Iyo Sky, Shayna Baszler and Mickie James fight amongst themselves for around twenty minutes. In the end though Sky attempted and hit a Springboard Moonsault to the brawling pair of Baszler and James to floor both of them. From here Sky dragged them to a corner and then stacked one on top of the other then climbed up to the top rope and hit an Over the Moonsault then pinned Baszler.

After that the D Block final took place and saw Rosemary take on both Jordynne Grace and Jamie Hayter in a triple threat match which she won.
She did this after Grace had laid Hayter out with a Fall From Grace and then grabbed her and hit her with the Red Wedding onto Hayter then pinned Grace.

The penultimate match of the night saw the first defense of the PPW World Championship when Seth Rollins(c) attempted to defend against the “Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay. The match went to a half an hour time limit draw and as a result of this Rollins retained. However both men showed signs of wanting to continue so it was announced that the match would go on for five more minutes. Which saw the defending champion aka Rollins hit a Buckle Bomb, a Curb Stomp and a Phoenix Splash to retain.

Finally the main event of the evening was a four way match to crown the inaugural PPW Women’s Champion. It featured Ruby Soho, Asuka, Iyo Sky and Rosemary and went for around twenty seven minutes. The final minutes saw Sky hit an Over the Moonsault onto Asuka but when she attempted a pin, Rosemary pulled her off and threw her out of the ring onto Soho at ringside. Then Rosemary dragged Asuka up and spat black mist into her face and then hit the Red Wedding for the pin. ​

CROWNING THE INAUGURAL PPW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPION’S ​

The trio of PPW Chairwoman Stephanie McMahon, PPW Head of Creative Paul Levesque and PPW General Manage William Regal hosted a press conference earlier today to announce how the company will be crowning the inaugural Project Pro Wrestling World Tag Team Champion’s. McMahon announced that the first ever PPW World Tag Team Champion’s would be crowned in the third Project Pro Wrestling G1 Climax tournament.

The teams who will take part in the tournament and the blocks that they will be in will be revealed soon, it should be known that there will be four blocks and twenty eight teams. Also in terms of the rules, it would work on a point based system, 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points if the match ends in either a disqualification or a draw. ​
