I see you included Hollow Man, I really enjoyed that. I have The Shining on DVD because it's awesome, really scared me the first time I saw it. It's just got an eerie feel to it. Ghostbuster is obviously awesome. Is it weird that I've never actually seen Poltergeist? Also, I rewatched Idle Hands tonight. So awesome, I forgot just how hot Jessica Alba was in it.

She was freaking hot in that movie and believe that was done before her short lived television show Dark Angel show too. I loved Hollowman especially when he first becomes invisible and then when he sneaks home and freaks the kids out in the car along with the chick he keeps watching

19. Frankenstein

Frankenstein.jpg

The monster who made the Munsters a hit TV show. A crazy scientist creates a monster out of spare parts of other people and actual parts of other things. The monster is the same monster who has probably sold more costumes than any other creature in the world. The monster is everywhere at Halloween and he is the man.

We all know the scene. The one in the shower were the chick screams for her life. Little Norman Bates was so messed up and he decided to kill people in the motel and wear his mothers clothes. What more do I need to say.

Honorable Mentions

Creepshow

Creepshow is a bunch of shorts thrown together by Stephen King and George Romero. What more do you need. The film has some great names in it like Ed Harris, Leslie Neilsen, Ted Danson, and Stephen King himself. 5 stories that can either scare you or make you laugh. I laughed but found the stories intriguing on the other hand. The main thing you need to look at for Halloween is be careful for what you have done as each story centers around what someone has done and the end result of it and don't pick up meteors.

Honorable Mention Day.

Kid friendly Movies/Shows

Simpson's Tree House of Horror

What Halloween is complete without the Simpson's tree house of horror segments? Sure they are all parodies of films which makes them all the better and it has the Simpson's humor involved. Nothing better than that and a new Tree House of Horror is on its way.

Adam's Family

adams_family.jpg

They are creepy and they are crawly the Adam's Family. What a decent movie but a better TV show. The movie centers on the Adams Family that is comprised of Wednesday, Pugsly, Mortica, Uncle Fester, Gomez, Thing, and Lurch. Decent movie for young kids that like the Halloween season. You Rang and don't let MC Hammer create the theme song for the next movie ever again.

Monster House

Monster-House.jpg

A Halloween themed movie from the core. You have a group of kids who are afraid of a certain neighbor and his house because he is old and mean (everyone has those people around them). The kids lose balls in the house and the yard, but its main protagonist is the ghost of the old mans love who wants to take revenge for things that had happened to her and to protect her love. It's those same kids who are afraid of him and the house that help make things better in the end.

Casper

Who can forget Casper the friendly Ghost who doesn't want ot hurt anyone but continues to be around, but his friends who want to scare everyone which remind me of the three stooges but not as funny. Oh well a great film for the little ones and one that the whole family can sit and enjoy.

I loved Stir Of Echos and Ghostbusters. For sure two favorites easy. Plus Stir Of Echos spurred the Six Degrees Of Kevin Bacon which I find funny.

17. Trick or Treat

Trick_r_treat.jpg

What says Halloween more than the words Trick R Treat? Nothing you hear it every year at this time of the year and this film has 4 interwoven stories similar in fashion to Creepshow and Tales from the Crypt. This is a fun little movie to sit down and watch for some fun. Just watch out for buses.

16. The Howling

IMG_8103.jpg

This film scared the crap out of me when I was 7. A reporter who came face to face with a serial killer gets sent to a rehabilitation center where everyone is not what they seem to be and all hell breaks loose on her. This is a great film if you have never seen it and don't watch any of the newer ones as the suck. The first few were decent but have sucked badly after that. I still enjoy watching this from time to time, plus who doesn't like werewolves great costume for Halloween.

Honorable Mentions.

Silver Bullet

Silver_Bullet_VCL11081089.jpg

A movie about a kid in a wheelchair that has to fight of a werewolf. What more do I have to say other than it is a Stephen King movie and it stars..........Cory Haim and Gary Busey. Not a bad film check it out if you have never seen it.

An Amercian Werewolf in London

Another great film about werewolves. Two buddy's hiking around England that end up getting attacked by a werewolf and die and the Townspeople decide not acknowledge their existence but some college students have nightmares and the dead people come to them asking them to die. A great film watch it if you haven't

Some great wolf movies! I'm a big fan of Stephen King and Corey Haim so naturally I love Silver Bullet, not to mention Gary Busey as Uncle Red just so awesome! Trick r Treat is great, I also love Trick OR Treat though! You've probably seen it before but the whole movie is up on Youtube!

15. Scream Series

Scream.jpg

The franchise that has been tagged as changing the horror franchise. It was a series of films that did not take itself to seriously. You had the biggest star of the film open up the first film and ends up dieing, you have this geeky guy who knows way to much about how movies are done that can tell you what to do and what not to do but no one listens to him, you have a bitchy reporter that just wants her story, the goofy friend who just happens to be a cop that gets close to death in almost every film, and then you have the main hero who can't keep a boyfriend. This is a great set of films that have become a mainstay at Halloween now as the ghostface is seen everywhere and is a huge costume seller.

14. Child's Play series

Chucky-0002.jpg

A good guy and bad guy in character. A serial killer puts his dying soul into a doll that is a good guy. A little boy named Andy gets this doll for his birthday and all hell breaks lose once Andy realizes this doll is messed up. Chucky follows Andy for two more entries into this film series then Chucky finds a wife and then has a kid. Not a bad set of kills for the doll who seemingly comes back to life with some of the simplest of ease throughout each film, but in the end remember don't Fuck with the Chuck.

Honorable Mentions

The Thing

thing-movie-poster.jpg

A group of American scientists in Antarctica get terrorized by a shape shifting Alien that makes all their lives hell. Kurt Russell stars in this great John Carpenter film where this changeling of an Alien is trying to get off the ice to the rest of civilization. It wreaks havoc everywhere and makes the group seem to turn on each other from time to time and quite possibly was the Alien that was trying to escape instead of MacReady.

13 Ghosts

thir13en-ghosts.jpg

A crazy idiot traps 12 sadistic ghosts in glass cases who died and leaves the house to his nephew whose wife has died. The house is a pretty cool looking thing until they begin to realize what has been trapped into it. The film boasts a decent cast Matthew Lillard and Tony Shalub (Monk) and a bevy of freaky looking ghosts. If you have not checked this out do so.

I do gotta say. Yes, the Scream Movies are my favorite, and thanks for the shoutout in the message before that....and I haven't seen The Thing yet, but I do love these two movies for sure. I enjoyed the Child's Play movies, when I was younger, I found Bride Of Chucky and Seed of Chucky more to my liking.

What more do I have to say about a demonic little kid that does shit to people and is a quite good at scaring you in the process but that is neither tit for tat he is on sick kid that does everything he wants. He is scary but if you want to read more about him go [http://pulse-forums.net/showthread.php?369-The-Wing-Kong-Exchange/page35/]here. So lighten up and enjoy the dark side.

A house that the spirits live in that drive the owners mad. A great film for its time, not the remake which has been one of the better ones, that shows what happened in this house since its based on a true story. If you haven't seen this version please do its better than the new one.

Dawn of the Dead 2004

dawn_of_the_dead.jpg

I know Fuji Vice did the original I am doing the remake. This is one decent remake that I must admit that I have a guilty pleasure for. I usually end up watching it when I see it on or when I flip the channels and there it is. Honestly Ving Rhames is one badass mother fucker in every movie he is in and he is no different in this one. Like the original a group holds up in a mall for a while then decide that they want to get our when one of them in the group states that he has a boat. They think if they can make it to this island they will live another day because there is no way that the zombies have made it to this little island. I thought the movie was great if you haven t seen this one check it out if you have check out the original.

I'm surprised more people haven't been in here to tell you how great Scream is, I know a good bit of the members are big fans. Myself included! I always thought Thirteen Ghosts was fun too, nice mention. Ghostface, go watch The Thing! It's amazing. Night of the Living Dead FTW and I loved the Dawn remake! I just did a project in school on the Dead films actually. Lol
