Not that she’s awake for enough hours in the day to notice, but in recent weeks Britney Spears ‘Femme Fatale’ has undeniably slid down the charts. However, the starlet’s label have cause to celebrate today for Amazon have reduced the price of the album in an attempt to help the LP avoid further embarrassment.
Find out by how much below…
Amazon are now selling ‘Femme Fatale’ for $3.99 no more than a few weeks before she kicks off the world tour which is in support the release. The album debuted at #1 on its release back in March and has already spawned the hits ‘Hold It Against Me’ and ‘Till The World Ends’.
However sales of the record have declined week by week, not helped by the chart supremacy of Adele’s ‘21′ and Lady GaGa’s ‘Born This Way‘ which sold more copies in one week at full price than Femme Fatale sold in an entire month.
With Amazon’s reduction of the price, fans of the ‘Toxic’ performer will be hoping that the release finds itself back on a chart position that doesn’t evoke head shaking and laughter. For with Beyonce’s ‘4′ set for release in three weeks, it is difficult to see how Ms. Spears will recover from this well documented sales slump.

Watch: Britney Spears’ ‘Entertainment Tonight’ Interview

If her performances over the last 3 years are anything to go by, Britney Spears needs a zimmerframe not a stage. However -as ever there’s money to be made- and the Pop star is embarking on her worldwide ‘Femme Fatale Tour’ this Summer.
Promoting the trek on Entertainment Tonight this week, the best pillow-fighter to ever do it gave an inside look at the tour’s preparation. The sad segment sees Spears sport a glazed look over her eyes, struggle to keep up with the original ‘I’m A Slave’ choreography, and generally looking like she’d rather be a million places other than in front of the camera.

Check it out after the jump…

Shania Twain is Las Vegas-bound!

The country star and new author is going the way of Céline Dion, landing a residency show on the Vegas strip.

"I will let my imagination run wild," she told reporters Wednesday at a press conference to announce the deal. "I'm going to go nuts creatively."

The show, titled Still The One, will open Dec. 1, 2012, and run for at least two years at Caesars Palace's Colosseum showroom.

Committing to the series of shows – as well as releasing a book, she says – were big steps in helping her recover from a tumultuous time that included getting divorced and losing her voice.

"It's been a healing year," says Twain, who married Frédéric Thiébaud in January.

"I've learned how to commit myself and put that into healing, instead of fear and anxiety, which is a big turnaround."

LeAnn Rimes and her trainer want critics of her lean frame to know one thing: she's fine, thank you very much.

Rimes tells PEOPLE the "hoopla about my body" – which intensified after photos of her in a bikini during her recent honeymoon emerged – has been hurtful.

"For someone like me who is healthy, who works hard for my body, it's very frustrating," says the country star, 28, who hosted "An Evening with Leann Rimes to Benefit Tornado Relief" (raising $30,000) alongside new husband Eddie Cibrian, 37, in Florida on Sunday. "I work out and take care of myself, and not in an over-obsessive way."

"People are calling me bulimic or anorexic," she says, "and these are real issues and diseases – that I don't have."

Adds her trainer, Michael Jackson at Equinox in Woodland Hills, Calif.: "My main concern with her is that she's toned and healthy. And she is."

For more on Rimes's diet, workout and health, check out the new issue of PEOPLE, on stands Friday

Gym Class Heroes are back with “Stereo Hearts,” the first single from the band’s upcoming album The Papercut Chronicles II, due this fall. Produced by Benny Blanco (Wiz Khalifa, Britney Spears), the feel-good jam boasts an infectious hook from Maroon 5’s Adam Levine.
Frontman Travie McCoy moves on from his failed relationship with ex-girlfriend Katy Perry (“The last girl that played me left a couple cracks/ ‘Cause holding grudges over love is ancient artifacts”) and allows his heart to find new love.
“Hope it’s the soundtrack to your summer,” he wrote. Crank up the “Stereo” below.

Rihanna kicked off her “LOUD” tour over the weekend. Now she gives fans a deeper look inside her rehearsals. Choreographer Stephanie Roos explained that the show is divided into five parts—LOUD, Hard, Sex Shop, Love/Hate, and Fun. RiRi is seen practicing her moves and reviewing merchandise in the clip.
Music director Kevin Antunes explained what he set out to do with this tour. “One of the biggest goals that I have for Rihanna’s ‘LOUD’ tour is she’s got such big records—you hear them on the radio, you hear them everywhere you go,” he said. “I think because her songs are so big around the world that you take it for granted that she’s really, really a good vocalist and I want to make sure that that’s highlighted in the show.”

Country star Ronnie Dunn beats fear of flying solo

Reuters, Jun 8, 2011 10:00 pm PDT
Despite a superstar foundation from his 20 years in the country duo Brooks & Dunn, Ronnie Dunn says that he went into his new solo career "scared to death."
Dunn, 58, released his self-titled debut album on Tuesday, on the heels of the top-10 success of its first single "Bleed Red."
"I think fear and insecurity are great motivators," Dunn told Billboard.com. "I worked overtime -- not that I have to -- to stay neurotic. I never take anything for granted. I look at my age. I look at the length of time that we were in the marketplace with Brooks & Dunn, and I don't know how people are going to accept me and I don't assume in any way they're gonna come running to this project."
Dunn and Kix Brooks announced their break-up plans in 2009, and performed their final concert a year later in September 2010, capping a career that yielded 23 No. 1 country hits and album sales of more than 30 million copies. The duo said at the time that it was "just time," and denied any bad blood.
Dunn recorded 34 songs for "Ronnie Dunn," writing or co-writing nine of the album's 12 tracks. He also produced the album and played most of the guitar solos, and he says that, neuroses aside, he genuinely enjoyed being the captain rather than a collaborator this time out.
"I'm comfortable in the studio -- probably more comfortable there than anywhere else," he said. "I was just like a kid in a candy store and didn't have to work through the committee and the natural process of working with a group or someone else -- including another producer. That was fun."
Some of the songs date back a ways. The socially conscious "Cost of Livin'," the album's second single, first came to him in 2008, when Dunn re-wrote Phillip Coleman's original chorus and hook. "I Can't Help Myself," meanwhile, was pitched for several Brooks & Dunn albums but never made the final cut.
Dunn has been enjoying touring on his own, downsizing from basketball arenas to casinos seating upwards of 2,500 people. "And they're a blast," Dunn said. "I can stop, talk to the crowd, tell 'em stories. That was obviously not my role (in Brooks & Dunn); both of us couldn't get up there and tell stories between every songs, and Kix by nature fell into that position. So it's fun and challenging to assume that role. So far it's the most fun I've ever had."

Two things you can absolutely count on when it comes to country-music awards shows these days: At least a few people WILL be wearing cowboy boots, and the fashion otherwise will not be remarkably far-out (in other words, very few Gaga ensembles in the Nashville crowd). I think the last time I actually had fodder to discuss a gown was back when Faith Hill wore a somewhat racy lace number to the Oscars in 2010.
Well. Wednesday night, at the CMT Awards, actress Nicole Kidman showed up on the arm of hubby Keith Urban and managed to blow all that out of the water. A day later, she is a trending topic--with the main concern being the dress she wore that evening.
vivanashvegas-215533481-1307657744.jpg

Okay. I admit it. The Proenza Schouler design was a bit busy, what with the green-and-blue geometric velvet goings-on, sheer brown skirt, and asymmetrical hemline (I got a little tired just writing all that down). I also admit the bluish/lilac/whatever-color-they-were shoes were a glaring focal point.
Am I crazy that I kind of liked it?
Apparently, I am--or at least in the minority. News headlines across the web on Thursday made the resounding point that Nic overshadowed her husband's performance and nomination by merely getting dressed that evening. US Weekly termed the getup "confusing," Australia's Daily Telegraph noted diplomatically that the outfit "did not match," and celeb/fashion blog Go Fug Yourself economically mused, "Well. How about those shoes?"
Well, again, as I said--I will own the fact that I kind of admired the outfit, as I do Kidman's general overall fashion sense. I like when there's a bit of fashion shakeup in Music City, as long as it's not a meat dress or anything. I liked Faith Hill's Oscar gown. I'm a big fan of the JaneDear Girls!
However, in this case, I think most country fans are going to shoot me down and tell me I'm wrong; that the 43-year-old Kidman should have chosen something a bit more demure--maybe something like the classic and classy dress Shania Twain wore.
vivanashvegas-790253950-1307657743.jpg

But I don't know. What do you think Keith Urban thought of the whole manner? He didn't seem upset that all eyes were on his wife. I bet he liked it, too!

IT'LL BE GLITZ, GLAMOUR AND KEEPING THEM GROUNDED
Following the birth of her twins, Mariah Carey talks parenthood, hubby Nick and that nude photo shoot...

Proud parents Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have finally settled in at home with their beautiful twin babies Moroccan and Monroe after a dramatic few weeks following the birth of their first children together. The singer had to spend an extra two weeks in hospital after delivering the twins, who both weighed in at just under 6lb. So when she emerged in a black Rolls-Royce with her husband when they drove their bundles of joy home from the hospital for the first time, Mariah understandably had a look of relief on her face. 'I'm feeling so blessed,' she Tweeted after returning to her pad. 'I just finished singing to the babies (softly!).'

Here, Mariah opens up in her own words about becoming a mother, Nick's reaction to fatherhood and how she felt about her nude pregnancy photo-shoot...

I could not do the having a child thing half-heartedly...
I couldn't just be like: 'I'm having a child, yay, let me get a nanny so I can give her the baby - take the kid.' That doesn't work for me. I don't believe in that.

Being a mother is probably the hardest job in the world...
I feel like, in a lot of ways, children come into the world to teach us. It's going to be a delicate balance between raising them around glitz and glamour and keeping them grounded. One thing I'm sure of is that I'll be grateful for the twins every day, no matter what.

I felt very vulnerable about taking the nude pregnancy pictures...
But then I didn't want to miss this opportunity to document a once-in-a-lifetime experience. My ultimate goal was to share that incredibly personal moment with my true fans.

Before now I'd never ever been to a baby shower...
My baby shower was my first one - it was so festive! Nick and I were so grateful to everyone who came to celebrate with us.

Nick is so excited to be a father...
He already has this natural talent with children - they take to him right away. He's so nurturing, loving and fun. He definitely will be a hands-on dad.

It was so much fun designing the twins' room...
I had such specific ideas I wanted implemented. I wanted to create a beautiful, tranquil, cosy environment for the babies. Everything matches, but pieces are individualised to celebrate the twins as separate entities. I wanted to do more than cookie-cutter styles in blue and pink.

We need to have Mother's Day once a week...
It's hard to have kids in this world. I have so much respect for mothers everywhere, especially those who've had difficult pregnancies or given birth to multiples.

You've gotta take care of yourself...
You have to try and stay pretty, you know. My life is bizarrely healthy in some ways. I have to be overly aware of people holding the microphones. Singer turned into that know that if someone touches your microphone you have to sterilise it.

This is one of the few times in my career that I've actually taken it easy...
Well, sort of. I am looking forward to spending quality time with the babies and Nick, and that's our plan.

I've been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy...
It's been a long journey and it's been tough. But this is a whole new beginning and I'm beyond excited about it.

According to a record label source, the June 24 release date for Beyoncé’s ’4′ album has been pushed back — but not for the reason you think.
A confidential informant at the record label, who begged to remain anonymous, said Beyoncé and her husband Jay Z sat in on an emergency meeting yesterday with several key execs at Columbia Records to discuss, not only the album’s leak, but also the rampant criticism from her gay fans, such as blogger Perez Hilton, who are unhappy with the lack of club music on her new album.

<TABLE id=ncode_imageresizer_warning_3 class=ncode_imageresizer_warning width=480><TBODY><TR><TD class=td1 width=20> </TD><TD class=td2 unselectable="on">This image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 500x500 and weights 57KB.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

’4′ leaked online in its entirety on June 7, three weeks before its scheduled release date. Beyoncé’s publicist addressed the leak on Bey’s Facebook page on June 9.

“My music was leaked and while this is not how I wanted to present my new songs, I appreciate the positive response from my fans,” her publicist wrote.
But in reality, Beyoncé and her management team are worried about the lack of gay support for her more mature, ballad-heavy CD. “They’re taking the album off the [release list] and retooling it,” said my source. “They’re going to add 2 more songs with a club beat to send the gays to the dance floor.”

My source tells me that the new release date will be announced either today or Monday.

Everyone talking about Bey flopping with her latest release but no one has talked about Lady Gaga underwhelming record sales.

Op-Ed Contributor
Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' Colossal Flop

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Is Lady Gaga really 'Born this Way'? After a spectacular first week of sales, with almost 1.2 million copies of her CD and downloads sold, the second week shows a big fall off. 'Born this Way' sold only 169,387 copies last week. That's a drop of 85% from the first week. It's important to remember that 440,000 of those first week sales were only for 99 cents." Read More
Lady Gaga belongs under the Big Top of a circus and not in a recording studio or a stage. Lady Gaga's outlandish personality and garish wardrobe are a natural for the circus; the sideshow freaks would welcome her with open arms.

The circus comes to town once a year, and for a couple of days with can deal with the freaks, elephants and clowns. But to put up with Lady Gaga's antics and sophomoric songs all year long is a nightmare.
"Born This Way" is the most overhyped album in generations, it pales in comparison to a CD by a true artist like Adele. A music lover might dance to Lady Gaga's overproduced songs in the club when he's high and drunk, but when he's sober and home in his bedroom he'll recognize Gaga's product as unadulterated trash.
"Born This Way" really wasn't much of a bargain at 99 cents.

While Stefani Germanotta is confident and smart, she is also overbearing. The costumes. the pretense, the posing to be more Madonna than Madonna–it’s too much. Gaga believes more is more. This may play her out very quickly. She’s reinventing herself at the speed of ADD. Quite clearly, the songs don’t matter-it’s the statement, the look, the attitude. Her supporters argue that she sings and actually plays the piano and writes songs. But that’s getting lost. If sales drop again next week by huge numbers, Lady Gaga may have to lose the egg.

New Music: Chris Brown f/ SWV – ‘She Ain’t You (Remix)’

<CENTER>

SWV jumps on the remix to Chris Brown’s F.A.M.E. single “She Ain’t You,” which originally sampled their hit “Right Here,” as well as Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature.” The R&B trio sound as sweet as they did on the ’90s jam, dueting with Breezy, whose original vocals remain in tact.

Rolling Stone's Review of Beyoncé's new album

Beyoncé's new album 4 is a change of pace for the R&B queen. While her first three solo albums were full of blockbuster jams, 4 is a more relaxed, personal set that emphasizes ballads over bangers and showcases the singer's nuances; it's very much the sort of album a pop star makes when she doesn't feel like she has anything to prove. (She seems, in other words, to have set aside her alter ego Sasha Fierce for the moment.) 4 won't be in stores until June 28th, but since it leaked this week, here's a track-by-track preview of the album's 12 songs.

1. "1+1" - The album opens with its most tender ballad, a slow-burning number that calls back to both Sam Cooke's "Wonderful World" and Prince's "Purple Rain" without sounding like a retread of either tune. The song is already available as a single, but it sounds best in the context of the album, where its slow, steady build to a cathartic guitar break is the perfect introduction to a set of mostly low-key tracks about love and heartbreak.

2. "I Care" - "I know you don't care too much, but I still care," Beyoncé sings over cooing background vocals and dense percussion, delivering the words with a devastating blend of sadness and resentment. It may not be an obvious single, but it's one of the finest tracks on the record.
3. "I Miss You" - This is Beyoncé at her most understated. Her phrasing is cool, calm and collected as she sings over a simple metronomic beat and layers of atmospheric keyboards.
Choose Rolling Stone's Cover: The Sheepdogs vs. Lelia Broussard. Vote Now!
4. "Best Thing I Never Had" - "Irreplaceable Part Two," basically. It's a breakup ballad with a bitter, nasty streak: "When I think of the time that I almost loved you / you showed your ass and I saw the real you / thank God you blew it / I thank God I dodged a bullet." Beyoncé's vocal performance brings depth to a straightforward song about dumping a terrible suitor, conveying a compelling mix of wounded pride and genuine heartbreak.

5. "Party" featuring André 3000 - The first non-ballad on 4 is also the only song on the record to include a guest appearance by another star. André 3000 is sharp and effortlessly charismatic on his rapped verse, but the real attraction here is the track itself, which was co-produced by Kanye West and delivers a mellow Eighties-style smooth funk groove.

6. "Rather Die Young" - There's a great melodramatic kick to this song, which comes across like a quiet storm slow jam spiced up with modern drum programming. "I’d rather not live at all than live my life without you" is an unusually self-pitying lyric for Beyoncé, but she sells it well regardless.

Photos: Jay-Z and Beyoncé - Hip Hop Royalty
7. "Start Over" - While the other songs on 4 all have a distinct flavor and give Beyoncé an opportunity to try something new in some way or another, "Start Over" just kind of sits there at the middle of the disc not doing much of anything. It's an inoffensive ballad that doesn't do much for the record aside from break its momentum at the halfway point.
8. "Love On Top" - This song is a shameless throwback to perky, squeaky clean mid-Eighties R&B, and it's a blast. Beyoncé sounds confident and joyful as she sings about a lover who can do no wrong. If you've been craving a modern take on old-school Whitney Houston, this is the song for you.

9. "Countdown" - 4's much-needed mid-album stretch of upbeat tunes continues with "Countdown," a playful, inventive jam that revisits the sassy spirit of B'Day's "Get Me Bodied," but swaps out that song's jumpy rhythm for a heavy brass riff and steel drum fills.

10. "End of Time" - This Fela Kuti-influenced track is one of the most adventurous cuts on 4, with Beyonce singing lovey-dovey lyrics over an ecstatic, beat-heavy arrangement.

11. "I Was Here" - A Dianne Warren-penned showstopper that disrupts the flow of up-tempo songs on the second half of the record, but it works well as a bittersweet emotional climax for the album. "I Was Here" is exactly the sort of blustery ballad you'd expect from a Warren/Beyoncé team-up, but it seems a bit flat and generic in comparison to other more emotionally nuanced tracks on 4.

12. "Run the World (Girls)" - Much like album opener "1+1," this intense club track based on Major Lazer's indie dance hit "Pon de Floor" was a bit underwhelming when it came out as 4's lead single but is exciting as the record's celebratory conclusion. After all those songs about romantic angst, "Run the World" feels totally joyous and liberating
