That thing is going to destroy.

Honestly if I was facing aDrive's team, something that would counter him is, setting up the rain. Just because, it completely stops the Excadrill and possible Scoutland sand rush. Not to mention it makes Tyranatar poop himself. It also can prevent Venasuar from using synthesis if it has it and Delphox gets hampered offensively. That is 5 of his mons getting hurt by rain. Not to mention if he brings Braviary Thunder will hurt it. The only two that may benefit are Vaporeon and Raichu, maybe his Ditto too depending on what it transforms into.
But then again I am a terrible battler.
Thing is Ttar can just switch in and out to set up sand, meanwhile you'd have to continously set up rain manually. Which is easier said than done unless you have Prankster or something.
Yeah, good point. Although, you can still force a switch which gives you a turn to set up and maybe hit him hard to put the pressure on.
Example:
Ttar and a Pokemon enter the battle field.
One Turn:
Ttar uses Stealth Rocks
My Pokemon uses rain dance
Then he is forced to decide to either switch to a pokemon to absorb a hit for a turn, or wait out the rain and risk losing his sand user who is weak to water. That can give enough time for a set up move or another move to put momentum in your favor.
May not be perfect, but done right could work.
And of course right after I make that post, I made it to the end of the current build. I knew it was incomplete, but I kinda thought there'd be more. Now I have to wait for the game to be finished, ugh.
Question related to what you guys were talking about earlier, who should I watch and where should I begin if I'm interested in watching competitive Pokemon? I'm definitely not a competitive gamer anymore, but it's really interesting to see people get that in depth into Pokemon.
I might just jump right in with those two, shouldn't be too hard to pick up on things since I do have general Pokemon knowledge, and any new mechanics and stuff that were introduced in games I've never played I should be able to pick up on pretty quickly.Pokeaim and Lord Emvee are worth checking out for competitive stuff. Both are very good and knowledgeable about the game. Though, it might be hard to follow if you don't know much about battling.
aDrive's battle videos are good too because he usually goes in depth with his thought process and such. His other content is like shiny hunting and stuff, I'm not really into it.
Not really sure who'd be good to watch as a newbie. Maybe ShadyPenguinn. I find most Poke youtubers to be pretty annoying and lame, so idk lol. I'm probably not the best person to ask :
I'm sure I'd have to wade through quite a few people, it's why I don't really watch much of anyone considered a "Let's Player" on Youtube, I usually don't like the fake, over the top personalities and a lot of the cheesy delivery that most of them can have. I'd imagine Pokemon has its fair share.
