Pokemon Apex is certainly interesting.

I'm not very far, but it doesn't start off like a typical Pokemon game and doesn't really feel like one besides from the mechanics. Your character lives in a city and is in high school, the adult themes haven't been any more than one character dropping the F-bomb twice, but the horror elements are already starting to kick in. I just got to the point where you can choose your starter, and they give you a choice between a Cacnea, a Baltoy, and a Croagunk. I'm gonna stick with the game so far, it's intriguing to say the least.
