Was shopping at a video game store today that sells a lot of old video games, and they had a box set containing both Blue and Red selling for $300. Somebody almost bought it:damn: Every old Pokemon game is super expensive nowadays, I'd hate to be someone trying to buy them right now

Like...brand new never opened? Because you can find used copies for way less than $300.

@Jacob Fox

Watch Erika's old Pokemon Showdown videos. He's not a great battler but he's fucking hilarious. He doesn't seem to care much about mons nowadays so these videos are about 2-3 years old. But still, classic shit.

Sadly he doesn't have a playlist or anything. But if you just search "etika world network Pokémon showdown" his videos will pop up.

Thanks! I'll check him out. I was hoping to download a game tonight and get playing but I guess I don't have enough blocks free on my 3Ds so i will have to wait until tomorrow and go buy a copy at the store. In the meantime, though, I'll check out these videos :)

Oh by the way. Avoid VERLISIFY's videos at all cost. The dude is the cancer of Pokemon 'community'. Lol that sounds so silly, but yeah. AVOID.

Doesn't sound silly at all. I'm so new to all this that I am grateful for the tip :)

I'm like 700 blocks away from downloading haha. Oh well, I should just be patient and go to Gamestop tomorrow.

That's pretty cool. I don't have a 3DS so I had no idea you could do that.

I'd probably go crazy without my 3DS, it's an amazing system. You can download all sorts of games on it without buying cartridges... I have over 25 games on it that I can just play from selecting from the menu... so much better than always carrying and changing cartridges.

From what I've heard the 3DS sounds a lot nicer than the PS Vita, since I'm one of the ten people that owns one of those. There's a digital version of almost every game, but all of the games are massive. Wouldn't be a problem if you could just use memory stick duos like the PSP did, but Sony makes it so you have to have their special memory card which are ridiculously expensive in comparison to how much storage they provide compared to something like an SD card.

I'll probably be getting a 3DS with the release of Sun/Moon, unless I buy one earlier to play Alpha Sapphire.

If you have the money, I definitely think a 3DS is well worth it. I've had mine for nearly three years and I've easily gotten my money's worth out of it again and again and again. I've been under the impression that console wise, Nintendo has been a step behind ever since the release of the first playstation... but handheld wise, no one has come close to what they've been able to do.

I'd wait until NX though, it's supposed to be a hybrid and isn't far off. It's what I'm holding out for myself.
