- May 18th Newswire: As announced this morning in the main page article (http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2797), the ROH World Title will be defended in New York City as venerable champion, Jerry Lynn, will defend against Austin Aries. Aries has been more cocky and arrogant than ever before, and now he has his sights set on becoming the first two-time ROH World Champion. Can Lynn shut Aries up? Or will Aries show the world that he's not only A star – he's THE star. Tickets are on sale now!
- We are please to announce the first set of talent for the June ROH on HDNet National Television Tapings, taking place on June 19th and 20th at the Arena in South Philly. On June 19th and 20th you will see: Bryan Danielson, Austin Aries, Colt Cabana, ROH World Tag Team Champions - The American Wolves, Jimmy Rave, and D'Lo Brown. More names will be announced as we move forward.
- The surgery on the injured wrist of Jon Davis was successful, yet more intensive than originally thought. Davis had four bones in his wrist dislocated, and several frayed ligaments. Davis' doctors had never seen such a severe wrist dislocation. Davis now has several pins holding the repairs in place, and the wrist has been placed in a hard cast. We'll have updates on Davis' condition going forward.
- We are pleased to announce that the talented Shawn Spears will be on hand for a look in Manassas on June 12th. Spears is perhaps best known as "Gavin Spears" in WWE or for his incredible feud with Colt Cabana in Ohio Valley Wrestling. ROH officials have received countless recommendations on Spears, and look forward to seeing him in action in Manassas.
- Signed for Manassas on June 12th is an incredible match up. Kenny King has shined more than one could have expected on Ring of Honor on HDNet, and his stock has without question continued to rise. Now, under the tutelage of "A Double", King looks to take his stock higher than ever as he's signed to face Bryan Danielson on June 12th in Manassas! Can King take that next step, or will "the best in the world" bring him back down to reality?
- Guido Maritato told people he wanted to face the "toughest" competition in Ring of Honor when he returns on June 13th at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Well, he'll get "tough" as he has signed to face Jay Briscoe one-on-one! Briscoe was excited about the match, stating, "I know Guido can go, and I know he's skilled. I'm flattered he wants a shot at me, man. But now Guido gonna have to put his money where his mouth is. Time to man up."
