- The wrestling world is still reeling after the announcement that "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson has agreed in principle to a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. Everyone at Ring of Honor is extremely proud of Bryan and wishes him nothing but the best as he embarks on the next leg of his wonderful journey. To that end, ROH officials are proud to announce that the September ROH events have been labeled the "Final Countdown Tour"! The tour kicks off on September 10th and 11th in Philadelphia as ROH and HDNet tape 6 more weeks of television, then it's on to Dayton on 9/18, Chicago on 9/19, then to Boston on 9/25, and the tour culminates in New York City on 9/26 with "Glory By Honor VIII: The Final Countdown"! These events will be your last chance to say farewell to a bona fide ROH legend. Tickets for all 6 events are available now at www.rohwrestling.com!

- In case you missed the main page announcement yesterday (http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2953), the Boston leg of the Final Countdown Tour is getting a dream singles match that has never happened in Ring of Honor. Signed for September 25th is Bryan Danielson versus Davey Richards – and this match was requested by Danielson! Don't forget that Bret Hart will be on hand in Beantown as well!

- ROH officials have reviewed Petey Williams' claims, and they have decided to act. After what happened in Detroit in June, Austin Aries will face Petey Williams one-on-one in Chicago on September 19th! ROH officials, however, could not mandate that Aries put the ROH World Title on the line, as he's already scheduled to defend on September 26th against Bryan Danielson in New York. "Aries' knows full well that I can beat him," said Petey. "And he'll hide behind rules and his cronies to avoid giving me a shot. Some champion." Aries has yet to respond.

- Ring of Honor is happy to congratulate Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana on his successful stand-up comedy debut last Saturday night in Hollywood at the world famous Improv. A sold out house watched on as Cabana took the stage for the first time and he did not disappoint!

- Tag Team action is signed for Boston on September 25th as Nick and Matt Jackson – The Young Bucks will take on Cheech and Cloudy. The ROH Tag Team Division is hotter than ever, and this one will no doubt be fast and furious. Can Cheech and Cloudy score the win and raise their stock? Or will the Bucks continue their meteoric rise in Boston? Be there to find out!

- Just signed to compete when ROH and HDNet return to Philadelphia on September 10th and 11th: The Young Bucks, Kevin Steen and El Generico (9/10 only), Eddie Kingston, Kenny King, Rhett Titus, Sonjay Dutt, "Skullkrusher" Rasche Brown, and the Super Smash Brothers (9/10 only). We'll have the first matches signed for this set of tapings later on this week!

- Just signed for Glory By Honor VIII on September 26th is a singles match between two of the most athletically gifted men in Ring of Honor. It will be Claudio Castagnoli taking on Kenny Omega! Castagnoli is coming off a grueling feud with Brent Albright while Omega has taken Austin Aries to the limit recently. Can Claudio regain that winning form, or will Omega solidify his spot in the ROH pecking order?

- Everyone heard the words of Davey Richards in the last Videowire. He told the Briscoes if they wanted a title shot in Chicago to go to ROH officials and "make it happen". Well, the Briscoes came to ROH officials to do just that. But the Wolves got there first. Davey Richards contacted ROH officials and ‘retracted' his statement on the Videowire. He said that "emotion overtook him" and that "the Briscoes haven't EARNED a title match". ROH officials informed the Briscoes of Davey's new stance on that match, and reiterated that the Wolves are not mandated to put the belts up because they are already scheduled to put them on the line in September against Steen and Generico in New York. Needless to say, but the Briscoe Brothers are not happy, and we'll have comments from Mark and Jay in the upcoming ROH Videowire.

- Don't miss tonight's episode of "Ring of Honor Wrestling" on HDNet at 8 PM EST. The main event features an 8 Man Tag Team Elimination Match with Colt Cabana, Necro Butcher, Brent Albright, & Grizzly Redwood vs. Claudio Castagnoli, Jimmy Rave, Ernie Osiris, & Prince Nana. World Tag Team Champions The American Wolves are in action, Delirous takes on Sonjay Dutt, plus Erick Stevens, Eddie Kingston, The Dark City Fight Club, & more.

- The Young Bucks have opened many an eye in the last few months, including those of the ROH World Tag Team Champions – The American Wolves. ROH officials had worked to get a non-title match signed between the two teams when the Jacksons made a confident claim. As seen in today's story on the main page (http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2962), Nick Jackson told the world "a victory over them is exactly what The Young Bucks need to be recognized as the best team in ROH. And if - no - make that when we beat them, the Wolves will have to give us a title shot." That statement didn't sit well with the Wolves, who immediately called for the titles to be on the line on September 11th in Philadelphia. Confidence is surely not lacking in the Wolves, who claim they're always on the hunt, but Davey Richards doesn't want to mislead the Bucks into thinking they've earned a shot. He commented, "Don't be confused though, if the Briscoes haven't earned it, then you sure as hell haven't earned it, not from where I'm standing, but that right there is real, tried and true, championship confidence. Now you've got the world to gain, and we've got the world to lose, come prove you got what it takes." Can the Bucks shock the world, or will this simply be another lesson taught by the Wolves? And speaking of the Briscoes, they have a scheduled meeting with ROH officials this week to discuss the Wolves!

- A few weeks back we asked if you would be interested in a Ring of Honor Video-on-Demand service. The answer was a resounding ‘yes'. Now the question is: Are there any specific matches or events would you like to see available on demand, and what do you feel is a reasonable price for such a service?

- Tyler Black is not happy about the injury to Jerry Lynn at the hands of Kenny King. "The Pretty Boy Pitbull" and Rhett Titus spiked Lynn at the last ROH on HDNet tapings and Lynn hasn't been heard from since. Now Tyler has sent word that he's got a little something planned for King and Company on September 10th in Philly. ROH World Champion Austin Aries isn't worried in the least. "Tyler's a choke artist. He's Dan Marino – he looks great until it counts, and I have no doubt that K-Double will prove that on HDNet." Don't forget that Black faces King the very next day!

- Hard hitting. Intense. Smashmouth. The Briscoe Brothers. The Dark City Fight Club. Signed for September 11th in Philly for HDNet! The best tag team action in wrestling is in Ring of Honor!

August 31st: Ring of Honor is happy to announce the following for our big return to Collinsville and Indianapolis on October 9th and 10th: ROH World Champion Austin Aries, ROH World Tag Team Champions the American Wolves, Kenny King, the Young Bucks, Petey Williams, MsChif, Kevin Steen, D-Lo Brown, the House of Truth, and Sara del Rey! More talent and match announcements are forthcoming!

- Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana and Petey Williams will face Austin Aries and Rhett Titus in Dayton, but before we get there, Titus has signed to face Cabana next Thursday at the Arena in South Philly! "Cabana will face the thrust for siding with that goof Petey," said Titus. "I've been put on assignment by the champ, brother, and that assignment will be carried out in Philadelphia!"

- You can now save 25-30% Off Your Next Order at ROHWrestling.com until Thursday morning. All orders between $25-$60 take 25% Off. With orders that are $60 and up you can take 30% Off. This is a great opportunity to save on DVD's, apparel, live event tickets, & more. - Eddie Kingston can't wait for "Glory By Honor VIII" and another chance to decimate Chris Hero. "Christopher Hero," bellowed Kingston. "The time is drawing near, and let's be real, you know it's over for you. I stopped you from robbing KENTA at TV. I took your garbage elbow pad, and now it's done. The running is over. Don't cry now, because on the 26th, the skies will weep. But they will weep tears of blood and they won't be for me." ROH is happy to announce that Kingston has signed to face Claudio Castagnoli next Friday night in South Philly as ROH and HDNet shoot six more weeks of the best wrestling on television!

September 8th: As announced earlier today at ROHWrestling.com, there has been a big change to the scheduled line-up for "Glory By Honor VIII" event in NYC on September 26th. In lieu of both Bryan Danielson & Nigel McGuinness departing ROH after that event, it will now be, one last time, Danielson vs. McGuinness! Click here to read the entire press release: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2971.

September 8th: The Glory By Honor VIII event in New York City officially sold out earlier today. We would like to thank all of the fans who purchased tickets for this big event. Tickets still remain at www.rohwrestling.com for the other live events as part of The Final Countdown Tour in Philadelphia on September 10th & 11th, Dayton on September 18th, Chicago on September 19th, and Boston on September 25th.

September 8th: Also announced this morning (http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2970), ROH and Pro Wrestling NOAH have come to terms on the participation of GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion KENTA for our live events on Nov. 13th in our new Detroit area home, and Nov. 14th when ROH debuts in Mississauga, ON. Tickets for both events are now on sale.

September 8th: Tyler Black underwent minor surgery a few weeks ago to relieve pressure in his neck. Unfortunately, the recovery from this procedure has not gone as hoped, and Black will be forced out of action for the ROH on HDNet National Television tapings this weekend. Black will still be on hand for both events. The cards will be adjusted and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Black is now listed as questionable for the events in Dayton and Chicago on September 18th and 19th. Should he become unavailable for the events, changes to the cards will be made. We will update this situation as we go forward.

September 8th: With Tyler Black unable to compete this weekend during the "ROH on HDNet" TV Tapings, ROH officials have named Colt Cabana as his replacement for Thursday night's bout with Nigel McGuinness. ROH officials are still working out exactly what replace Black's scheduled Friday night match with Kenny King.

September 8th: The card for September 25th in Boston has also changed. Roderick Strong stepped aside to allow Nigel McGuinness to face Bryan Danielson one last time in New York. But there was a condition: That Roddy get his match with Nigel in Boston the night before! Nigel may have thought he was getting a pass from Roddy, but after what Nigel did to Strong at the August ROH on HDNet tapings, Roddy wasn’t about to let that happen. “Nigel has one coming for causing me to lose to Joey Ryan,†said Strong. “And even if he’s got one foot out the door I’m pulling him back in to give it to him.â€

September 8th: With that change in the Boston Card comes an opportunity for two men to get their hands on ROH World Champion Austin Aries. Kenny Omega has been going back and forth with Aries verbally and physically for some time now, and he scored a win over ‘A Double’ in July. Now he’ll team with Colt Cabana to face Aries and Rhett Titus in Beantown! Cabana has been the target of verbal jabbing by Aries for agreeing to team with Petey Williams in Dayton, and how he’s eagerly signed on to give Aries something else to complain about. “I know Aries’ type,†said Cabana. “I’ve seen it all my career, and honestly, it’s fun to mess with people like him.â€

September 8th: And speaking of Cabana, he’s signed for “Glory By Honor VIII†to oppose “Addicted to Love†Rhett Titus one-on-one! This is a match that was originally signed for the 9/10 ROH on HDNet tapings at Titus’ request – a request based on the assignment handed down by Austin Aries. A victory for Titus would be the biggest of his young career, on ROH’s biggest stage, and his mentor – Aries – has said that nothing less than a win will do. Can “Boom Boom†stick it to ‘A Double’ by thwarting his protégé?

September 8th: The Four Corner Survival returns Chicago Ridge on September 19th! The impressive “Skullkrusher†Rasche Brown will oppose Silas Young, Sal Rinauro, and Chicago favorite, “Sugarfoot†Alex Payne! Don’t forget that this event marks the final Chicago ROH appearance of Bryan Danielson, and Bret “Hitman†Hart will be in attendance!
September 8th: The Buy 2, Get 1 Free Ring of Honor DVD Sale has been extended for an additional 24 hours until Wednesday at noon EST. The latest DVD release from ROH is "End of an Age" from Chicago Ridge, IL on June 27th. The event features Austin Aries vs. Nigel McGuinness for the ROH World Title; KENTA vs. Tyler Black in a first time ever dream match; Claudio Castagnoli & Joey Ryan vs. Colt Cabana & Brent Albright in a Chicago Street Fight; The American Wolves vs. Kevin Steen & El Generico; plus more. For complete details on the sale please click here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2643. This sale will also be in effect at the live events this week in Philadelphia

Alot of card changing! Danielson Vs Nigel for the last time in ROH, should be an awesome match and could be a MOTYC if they do it right. Sucks that Roddy won't be facing AmDrag but atleast he faces Nigel. I'd probably prefer to have two others face Nigel and Danielson then for them to face each other because theyll both probably be facing each other in WWE.

Anyways it should be a good match, also sucks for Black having to miss the tapings, I'm sure alot of people will be pissed about that.

September 10th: "The Final Countdown Tour" kicks off TONIGHT in Philadelphia for the first of back-to-back TV Tapings for HDNet. Both events take place at The Arena (former ECW Arema), 7 Ritner Street, Philadelphia, PA 19148. The action starts at 7:00 PM. Already announced is The American Wolves vs. Bryan Danielson & Roderick Strong; Colt Cabana vs. Nigel McGuinness; plus Kevin Steen & El Generico vs. The Super Smash Brothers. Others scheduled to appear include ROH World Champion Austin Aries, Tyler Black, Jay & Mark Briscoe; The Young Bucks; Joey Ryan; Chris Hero; Sonjay Dutt, & more. Tickets will be available to purchase at the door on the night of the show.

September 10th: The second night of "The Final Countdown Tour" will be tomorrow (Friday) night back at The Arena in Philadelphia with an 8:00 PM belltime. This event features Bryan Danielson vs. Roderick Strong in the American Dragon's final ROH bout in Philadelphia. Also scheduled is The American Wolves vs. The Young Bucks for the World Tag Team Titles; Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. The Dark City Fight Club, and Eddie Kingston vs. Claudio Castagnoli. Others scheduled to appear include ROH World Champion Austin Aries, Tyler Black, Nigel McGuinness makes his final ROH appearance in Philadelphia, Chris Hero; Kenny King, Colt Cabana, The Necro Butcher, Sonjay Dutt, & more. Tickets will be available to purchase at the door on the night of the show.

September 10th: As most of you already know, Bret "Hitman" Hart will be appearing for a special meet and greet autograph session at several shows during "The Final Countdown Tour". Hart will be appearing at events in Chicago Ridge, IL on September 19th, Boston on September 25th, and New York City on September 26th. Autograph tickets for these shows are now on sale at www.rohwrestling.com . An additional autograph session with another guest or two has just been added to Chicago Ridge, Boston, New York City, and Dayton, OH on September 18th. Details will be announced next week right here in the Newswire.

September 10th: For those attending the TV Tapings in Philadelphia a special Buy 2, Get 1 Free Sale will be in effect for all Ring of Honor DVD's. Also a limited edition "Final Countdown Tour" T-Shirt will be available to purchase at all six events during September. Stop by the Ring of Honor merchandise table starting tonight in Philadelphia and own a piece of history.

September 10th: A pair of matches have been signed to round out ROH’s return to Dayton on September 18th. First, the Necro Butcher has signed to face Silas Young in singles competition. Additionally, the “crown jewel” of the Embassy, Jimmy Rave, will take on “Skullkrusher” Rasche Brown. Don’t forget that Rave and Necro will meet in a Dog Collar Match the next night in Chicago! And don’t forget your main event as Chris Hero takes on Bryan Danielson in his last Dayton appearance. You don’t want to miss it!

September 10th: Just signed for ROH’s big return to St. Louis and Indianapolis on October 9th and 10th is Kenny Omega, Roderick Strong, Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana, “Skullkrusher” Rasche Brown, Silas Young, and Claudio Castagnoli. Tickets for these two big events are on sale now at www.rohwrestling.com .

September 10th: Signed for New York on September 26th is tag team action as Jon Davis and Kory Chavis – The Dark City Fight Club – will face Cheech and Cloudy. The DCFC interfered in the last HDNet match that Cheech and Cloudy had, and this is their chance at retribution. Can the undersized duo get their revenge, or will they see their chance to climb the ROH Tag Team ladder go ‘up in smoke’?

September 10th: In case you missed the main page article yesterday by Holden McNeil (http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2971), due to the historic farewell encounter signed between Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness for “Glory By Honor VIII”, Austin Aries is currently without an opponent for September 26th in New York. “So what,” quipped Aries. “Ring of Honor hasn’t shown to have anyone worthy of facing me anyway. Kenny Omega? Come on. Roderick Strong? Please. Tyler Black? Don’t get me started. Next thing I know people will be saying Cabana is worthy. As far as I’m concerned, I should just take the night off. But I won’t. I’m “A Double”, the MV3, the only two-time ROH World Champion. And I’m gonna give New York what it really needs. And what it really needs is the ‘A Double L Double’. That’s right; Austin Aries’ Lucky Lottery is coming to NYC. And everyone knows that my hat is full of top notch, world class challengers.”

September 10th: There are just 24 hours remaining in our latest sale at ROHWrestling.com. Save 25% Off Your Order today, on almost everything we sell. For complete details along with the latest sale code click here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2215 . Sale ends Friday at noon EST!

September 10th: October 9th will see the return of SHIMMER action to Ring of Honor when Canadian standout Nicole Matthews makes her ROH debut and challenges MsChif in suburban St. Louis! We’ll have more match announcements next week in the ‘wire!

I think Dragon and Nigel hooking up in WWE could be a long ways off. Roddy got a W against Dragon at last nights tv tapings, wish i was there to see it. Im lucky enough to have tickets to the Boston and NYC shows at the end of the month. I'll be very happy if Nigel vs. Dragon doesnt end in a draw.

For more information please visit www.ChicagoProWrestling.com. Tickets for the autograph sessions and live events will be available to purchase at the door on the night of the show!!!

- Don't forget that Bret "Hitman" Hart will be on hand in the Windy City on Saturday for a special autograph signing before the event. Don't miss your chance to meet a wrestling legend. In addition, in Dayton, Bryan Danielson will be available to sign his commemorative 8x10 photo and "Final Countdown Tour" T-Shirt at intermission. In Chicago, both Danielson and Nigel McGuinness will be on hand and signing at intermission. Take your opportunity to say ‘thank you' to two legends of ROH up close and personal this weekend!

- ROH World Champion Austin Aries was extremely proud of himself after seeing his handiwork in the latest installment of the ROH Videowire (http://www.rohvideos.com/watch?v=TdrAbmXWvYQ). Tyler Black discussed his neck injury, and we got a glimpse of the fireball that put him completely out of action. "Tyler wanted to play the hero," said A-Double. "But he's always a day late and a dollar short. Once again, he proves to everyone that he can't get it done. Questioning me? He's questioning me. Danielson did the same thing, and he got beat. Tyler? He got burned. A Double is hot. Hot stuff, even."

- In addition to Tyler's thoughts and shots of the fireball that has him out of action, the Videowire also features a must see interview from Chris Hero on his main event match in Dayton tomorrow night versus Bryan Danielson, Colt Cabana plays Scrabble, and Aries discusses his World Title defense on Saturday night in Chicago against American Dragon. All of this plus Bryan Danielson discusses wrestling in Chicago one final time for ROH and leaving it all in the ring against Aries.

- A couple days ago we asked what you'd like to see on an ROH Video-On-Demand service. The response was good, be we want more! Tell us what matches NEED to be available, and are there any complete events that simply must be viewed from start-to-finish? Give us your thoughts on the message forum or at www.twitter.com/rohonhdnet!

- Tyler Black said in the Videowire that he will return to action on October 9th in suburban St. Louis and October 10th in Indianapolis. But he won't be returning to any easy task. In St. Louis, he faces a rematch from last April as he will step into the ring against "That Young Knockout Kid" Chris Hero. Hero has been on an absolute tear as of late, and a victory over Black would take him one step closer to a shot at ROH gold. In Indianapolis, Black faces a protégé of Aries, and one of the most gifted athletes in wrestling, "The Pretty Boy Pitbull" Kenny King. Can Tyler get back to form against two of ROH's hottest stars? Could a win over King get him within grasp of Aries? Tickets are on sale now!

- Tremendous ROH Tag Team action has been signed for October 9th in Collinsville and October 10th in Indy. The American Wolves of Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards got their first taste of the Young Bucks in Philadelphia (the match will air on Episode 35 of ROH on HDNet), and the competition was off the charts. Now, after that perfect example of the tag team action that can only be found in Ring of Honor, both teams have agreed to a rematch! It'll be Wolves-Bucks II on October 9th. The only question is whether or not the Wolves will still be the World Tag Team Champions, and if so, will the belts be up for grabs? And in Indianapolis, the Young Bucks have signed to face Josh Raymond and Christin Able – The House of Truth – with Truth Martini. The HoT has done nothing but impress everyone in ROH, and this match will give all that see it a first-hand look at their potential. Nowhere in wrestling will you find tag team excellence like in ROH. Get you tickets now!!!

- The Five and Ten Sale is up and running at ROHWrestling.com. You can now get over 80 Ring of Honor event DVD's for only $10 each, tickets for upcoming events in Boston, St. Louis, and Indianapolis for $10 each, all Straight Shootin' and Secrets of the Ring titles for only $5 each, plus save 10% Off Your Next Order. For complete details on the sale click here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=860.

- Just released at ROHWrestling.com is "Bryan Danielson...Rise To Glory" on DVD. Bryan Danielson has been a part of Ring of Honor since day one and in that time has evolved into the wrestler many call "The Best In The World". With devastating strikes, unmatched technical precision, and an unparalleled intensity, "The American Dragon" reigned as ROH World Champion for fifteen months and set a record for successful title defenses. Danielson has been a part of many of the greatest matches in ROH history and this DVD is a showcase of just some of those epic confrontations. For a complete match listing and to order this DVD click here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/shoponline.asp?point=moreinfo&catid=186&id=3199.

- We'll be back next week with all of the happenings from Dayton and Chicago, and more news and matches for Collinsville and Indianapolis!

- September 28th: Glory By Honor VIII is in the books, and without question, it was one for the ages! As Ring of Honor said farewell to two of her brightest stars, one returned! The legendary James E. Cornette made a surprising return to ROH in New York, officially named Executive Producer earlier that day by ROH President Cary Silkin. "We couldn't be happier to have him on board," said ROH on HDNet Producer David Lagana. "To have his experience and his knowledge is immeasurable. Everyone is excited." Cornette will be on hand when Ring of Honor and HDNet return to Philadelphia on November 5th and 6th to tape another six weeks on the best wrestling on television. Check out http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2997 for more on Cornette's amazing return to Ring of Honor.

- Fans in attendance for GBHVIII that caught glimpse of another notorious return of sorts can attest - you never know what might happen at an ROH live event!

- Tonight's episode of "Ring of Honor Wrestling" on HDNet features Brent Albright vs. Claudio Castagnoli inside a Steel Cage, Tyler Black & Jerry Lynn vs. Rhett Titus & Kenny King, Nikki Roxx vs. Sara Del Rey, and Sonjay Dutt vs. Alex Payne. Don't miss the action starting at 8 PM.

- As Jack Youngblood's athletic legend grew from playing Super Bowl XIV with a broken leg, so grows the legend of Eddie Edwards. Edwards did the unthinkable on Saturday, taking his place beside Davey Richards and entering Ladder War II – with a broken arm. And this was no hairline fracture; Edwards essentially snapped off a huge chunk of his elbow on Friday night in Boston during his street fight with Kevin Steen. Edwards went to the hospital after the bout, and ROH officials got the news at 3:30am Saturday morning. Remarkably, less than 4 hours later, Edwards called again to advise that he would still be in New York and unbelievably, that he intended on competing in the Ladder War. And it was Edwards, locking El Generico in the Achilles Lock while both men were nearly 20 feet up a ladder, which allowed Richards to scale the ladder and earn the victory for the Wolves. Edwards is scheduled for surgery this Thursday to have a steel plate and screws inserted into his arm to mend the broken elbow, and he will miss some action. ROH officials are awaiting the official post-op prognosis and rehabilitation schedule before deciding what action, if any, is needed to address the World Tag Team Championship.

- With Eddie Edwards' surgery this week, he will be unable to compete when ROH returns to Collinsville and Indianapolis on October 9th and 10th. The cards for both events will be shuffled accordingly, and we can now announce the first changes. Davey Richards of the World Champion American Wolves has now signed to take on Kenny Omega in singles action! This is a huge test for Omega, as Davey has had a remarkable 2009. His match against Bryan Danielson from Boston last Friday may well end up the match of the year! Can Omega open more eyes and shock Richards in suburban St. Louis?

- The change above left the Young Bucks' Collinsville contract open, an opening that was almost immediately signed by Kenny King and Rhett Titus! "Man, I am sick of hearing about the Young Bucks," said King. "It's time they get knocked down a peg or two – Rhett and me – we're the true Up and Comers." It's King and Titus versus the Young Bucks on 10/9! We'll have more on the October 9th and 10th cards this week in the Newswire!

- The psychological war between Eddie Kingston and Chris Hero took another turn last Saturday night. Kingston was poised to let Hero feel the power of his own green elbow guard. Shane Hagadorn drew the attention of the referee, and Hero, once again ahead of the curve, donned a gold elbow guard and beat Kingston to the punch. Kingston was furious post-match, destroying the ringside area. We'll have more on this as it develops.

- We at Ring of Honor want to go on record to thank the fans of Boston, for a record crowd on Friday and an amazing enthusiasm, and the fans of New York, for helping us sell out and for being unbelievable once again. We couldn't have hoped for two better nights with two better crowds. Thank you all very much! This past weekend was truly special for a variety of reasons, but mostly so for the wonderful celebration of the ROH careers of Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness. Although it's been said, we can't stress it enough. Thank you to Bryan and Nigel. For your dedication, your resolve to be great, your passion, and your unparalleled professionalism. Our locker room is better from having you both in it, and we know that locker rooms going forward will come to feel precisely the same. We miss you both already.

- Tyler Black returned to active competition in a big way over last weekend, securing victory in St. Louis over Chris Hero in a hard fought contest. But in Indianapolis he took it to an entirely different level by winning Survival of the Fittest 2009. The main event final, lasting over 40 minutes, was a brilliant showcase for all 6 men involved, but the two men left at the end shined brightest. Roderick Strong and Black went back-and-forth, with Black finally falling Strong with a series of superkicks. The crowd was on its feet for the majority of the contest, with many pulling for Strong to win the bout. "I can't lie," said Black. "Roddy was unbelievable last weekend. It literally took everything I had to win, and the way Roddy kept fighting back was inspiring. I told him that night that I owed him a rematch, and I will keep my word." Well it didn't take long as ROH officials worked quickly. The rematch is signed for suburban Toronto! It'll be Roderick Strong versus Tyler Black on November 14th!

- Kenny King was surprised at the aggression that Tyler Black came at him with last Saturday in Indianapolis. "I didn't expect a big softy like Tyler to act so hard," said King. "I know he's still in mourning because I took out his uncle Jerry (Lynn), so I guess I should have expected it. But I really expected that he'd end up hurt and unable to compete because that seems to be his M.O. lately. But whatever, he got lucky and won that match, it's cool. I bet you can't catch me slippin' again, Tyler. I challenge you to face me in Edison. C'mon Tyler, show me how tough you are." ROH officials are awaiting Tyler's response to King's challenge.

- Kevin Steen sustained a knee injury in Indianapolis and is scheduled to see doctors this week. It is unknown at this point if Steen will miss any time, and we'll have updates as they become available. Holden McNeil takes a look at Steen & El Generico in "Where Do We Go From Here?" at http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=3016.

- ROH World Tag Team Champion Eddie Edwards is a soldier. Two days after successful surgery to put a steel plate and screws into his broken arm, he was in physical therapy. In fact, doctors declined to put his arm into a hard cast, allowing Edwards to move the still-broken arm much sooner. The initial prognosis was recovery in 6-to-12 weeks, but as it looks now, Edwards should be ready for action much closer to the 6 week mark. ROH officials are closely monitoring this as it relates to the World Tag Team Title situation. Initial reports are that no changes will be made should Edwards remain on path to return sooner than later. More on this as it develops.

- Edwards' partner in the American Wolves, Davey Richards, has been on fire in 2009, and that roll continued in suburban St. Louis where he and Kenny Omega had one for the ages. With the win, Omega was able to raise his stock. In Indianapolis, Richards fell victim to more games from Austin Aries, who essentially left Davey to the ‘wolves' – and defeat – this time at the hands of the Briscoes. Richards was absolutely livid post-match, but Aries was nowhere to be found. Beyond both excellent matches for Richards over the weekend, one source indicated that Davey was ‘keenly aware' of the top matches over the weekend; keeping tabs on the other top contenders to the ROH Title. We'll have more on this as we go forward.

- Just signed for Edison, NJ on November 7th: Sonjay Dutt, Erick Stevens, Sara del Rey, Necro Butcher, and Delirious with Daizee Haze!

- Delirious had a great showing in Collinsville and Indianapolis as well, taking Austin Aries to the limit last Friday and doing well in SOTF. Now Delirious is off to Pro Wrestling NOAH to take part in Autumn Navigation 2009. We will have updates starting next week from Japan as Delirious will face the best Junior Heavyweights NOAH has to offer! Best of luck to Delirious!

- Everyone at Ring of Honor expresses sincere condolences to the family of Harley Race for the loss of his wife, B.J.

- We'll be back on Thursday with the first matches for the next set of ROH on HDNet National Television Tapings in Philadelphia on November 5th and 6th, as well as match announcements for our big return to Edison, NJ on November 7th!

- Impressive that Eddie Edwards isn't goign to miss much time. Although i dont think ROH has any shows scheduled the last couples weeks in Nov.

- Strong vs. Black in Toronto will be sweet, I'm a little jealous Detroit didn't get it, but oh well.

- How did Delirous get a BYE to the finals of Survival of the Fittest? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?
