The Indianapolis Colts have hired Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano as head coach, the team announced on its website Wednesday.

Pagano interviewed with the Colts on Tuesday after Baltimore was eliminated from the playoffs Sunday in a heartbreaking 23-20 loss to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game.

Just saw that sucks to lose him but they seem to always have a great replacement.

The Ravens have gone through so many D coordinators it is crazy. I just don't see the point of hiring a defensive minded coach if they are bringing Luck in.

If anything it just furthers the fact that Peyton is gonna be out and they're gonna start aiming for defensive players in the draft and/or free agency. Or at least that is what you have to do if you're gonna apparently change the mindset of your team that has been offense fuck defense for a decade plus.

Ex Raven defensive coordinators since the year 2000 should send Ray Lewis and Ed Reed a thank you card for making them head coaches...

The Colt's 2-14 season shows why Manning is a top-3, if not THE greatest QB of all time. His supporting cast has always been overrated, he's been carrying his team for at least 5 years. Manning owes the Colts nothing, if the Colts decide to keep him, he should retire.

lol yeah pretty much can never hang on to them because the league raves about them and want them as head coaches asap. It's also a great sign no matter who the coordinator is that defense is still one of the best in the league every year. If it was possible and up to me I'd want Rob Ryan to be the Ravens D cord this next season.

I'll be real upset if Jerry Jones can't find enough money in his back account to keep Rob Ryan around for the next season. I love him as our Defensive Coordinator.

So Nike wants to turn NFL uniforms into the Oregon Ducks for 2012? This will be interesting. I think somebody posted pics last year of some of the potentially new gear. Some of it seems cool, but I don't see established teams with rich traditions making bold changes.

Packers, Boys, Skins, Bears, Steelers...I can see them all keeping theirs pretty much the same. Now would be a good time for the Colts to change up somewhat.

Peyton was the league's MVP this season tbh.

Seriously... I'm really not sure why he wasn't nominated.

Some mag alluded that he should seriously be MVP and people shitted on it but I think it could be considered at least. We knew that team lived or died on Peyton but they went beyond how much I thought they would suck.
