Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

Pietrus gonna be the most pissed off then as I can easily see him being lost in the shuffle.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

Let me be clear. Baron Davis is lazy. If he wasn't lazy, he would have been the best PG in the league by a wide margin.

There is nothing that guy can't do. He can post up. He can create off the dribble. He can play off the ball by running off screens. He can rebound. He can shoot the 3. He can finish at the rim. He can play the passing lanes. He can defend one on one.

He is just a lazy fuck who has enjoyed the dinner table too much outside of playing for Nelson and Silas.

:lmao That just made my night.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

 That's extremely inaccurate. Wade and Lebron are definitely above average. I had a feeling tonight would be a sluggish game for the Heat, I actually hope they lose so we don't take anybody lightly after this game.

And please say my current username and not my old one please :)

Wade and LeBron aren't elite one on one defenders. They just aren't there at this stage of their career and that is why you would never allow them to guard a Kobe, Manu, Pierce, or Melo one on one without help behind them like you could allow those guys to guard them.

As long as you have that usertitle, I call you Baller :p

I really like Nash I do, but if he won a championship elsewhere that would piss me off more than me being like I'm proud of him.

Why, I mean they gave Barkley the chance and he was a better and more important Sun than Steve Nash since he got his team to a Finals with less talent than Nash has ever been given before this year?

Otis said all four guys took the news pretty hard. I can imagine Rashard and VC taking it hard (especially VC) and maybe Pietrus to a lesser extent (he had been whining about playing time), but Gortat should be fuckin' partying. He gets to be the starting C (presumably) in a system with Steve Nash running the point, for however long that lasts.

I agree with you about Gortat.

VC should be pissed the most, he is near the end and just lost any shot he had at winning a ring.

VC deserves what he has gotten. He had the talent to be the greatest wing of his generation and history will look back on him as being inferior to the guys who have played in the last decade with him in Kobe, Wade, Lebron, Manu, Rip, Reggie, Iverson, Melo, T-Mac, Pierce, Allen, and so on because he didn't have the heart to compete and try to be better than them.

He will just be remembered for his dunks in all honesty when compared to those others.

Because I' am a Suns fan first before I' am a Nash fan. So why would I be happy about the fact that he hasn't won a championship here but then say if he got traded won a championship somewhere else. I mean in a sense I'd be glad he finally got it but but same time not gonna like the fact that my favorite team didn't win one with him.

I get that, but in all honesty the Suns are going nowhere with Nash and all staying there does is likely keep the tag over him "only MVP to never be good enough to play in a Finals game".

VC > Rip for sure. Probably isn't better then Manu but most people do because Manu had Duncan with him. T-Mac and Vince are on the same level as well.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

T-Mac was a better player than Vince and isn't even close to compare Orlando and Houston McGrady to Jersey and Toronto VC.

Rip is better than VC as well when it came to being a playoff player and helping a team win in their primes.

Be honest, what do you remember VC for outside of his dunk contest showings and one playoff series versus AI?

I due mainly remember VC for his dunks but in my defense I was only like 8-10 years old at the time. Rip, is not in the same league as VC, just being a good playoff helper doesn't make you elite.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

Rip Hamilton was better than Vince Carter in their primes as winning and competing does matter. The Rip trade made the Pistons a contending team even before the Sheed deal (only Jersey was better) and he helped them get to multiple ECFs time and time again. VC admitting that he quit and had checked out on the Raptors long before being traded, doesn't help his case for certainly because it shows the difference between the two.

Hey, A Kobe L 4 X-mas, what were you saying about Wade and LeBron being good one on one defenders just a minute ago?

And they will go even less than nowhere without him which I do not want to see at all. With Nash at least u can try and plug in some players and he make them even better than they are and be competitive. Without him he could possibly win a title elsewhere and I watch the Suns suffer? No thanks.

Phoenix should just do what the Wiz did and shed their main guys, get some high picks & start over.
