Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

Reggie can't even pronounce many players' names, so yes, he is horrible.

I don't have a problem with Doris Burke, I think she's fine as an analyst. She's a step slow with in-game action, but she generally explains what's going on pretty well.

Favorite announcers for ESPN are easily JVG and Hubie. For TNT there is Harland and Marv.

I'm still waiting for Paul Gasol to suit up to this day

Breen/JVG/Jackson completely lost my faith last year during the finals when Breen could be heard orgasming at every shot Bryant hit and the other two were afraid to say anything about the Lakers because they were clearly angling for the head coaching job. So it was a lot of fun to have those three calling the Knicks/Celtics game today:

Breen - Knicks lead announcer
JVG - Former head coach
Jackson - Former player, in the mix for their coaching job too

I felt like I was drinking their tears when that game ended.

"Clutch" Kobe alert! Runs into a guy, gets a call, manages to hit one of the FTs! Good news for Laker-haters, he's up to 15 FGAs.

Clutch Kobe!

LOL, he can't walk (tripped over his own feet, in a very Clutch fashion) and he doesn't want to come out. Who will shoot crappy 21 foot jumpers if I can't?!

Kobe throws the pass at Gasol's face, Reggie says he threw it at his chest. Does Reggie think he's doing a radio call of the game or something?

(nice Clutch bullet pass at Gasol's head Kobe. Yes, glare at him, because it's not your fault at all)

Phil said in his sacred hoops that he tells his guards to throw it at the big's head or groin to make em catch it, lol, seriously.

Oh well, this will go just like the OKC-LA series .... 6 games and a feel good story for the underdog fans

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

Just saying it is true because the fact is LA wins and plays hard/focused only when they have to. It is a proven fact the past 3 postseasons before this. They just believe in sleep walking until they are cornered.

I will say that this is a much easier series with David West. The fact is Pau struggles versus Landry in the Rockets series when he got the minutes that Yao were getting because he is too strong and quick for him. With west and Yao, all he had to do was check jump shooters who he was quicker than.
