It might make it a little closer debate but I still can't see the argument. I mean ffs Curry's rebounding average this season is only 2 behind Melo's career average lmao. He's a 6'2 185 PG ffs
Melo has really stepped his game up in that category though. They lost a game he went 27 points, 20 boards. Granted, he gets a solid amount of opportunities with J.R. Smith shooting 10-15 times a game this year. Can't believe how bad he is.

Yea I can admit that was a cherry picked stat :cole:

Another Melo voter, citing Curry's ankles. I guess that's one thing some people can hold against him, I get tired of posting the stats they show he isn't missing many games like people paint it out to be. :tough1:

It is a legitimate concern IMO. The fact it's always been his ankles reminds me of Amare with his knees. If it was maybe an ankle, and a hammy, maybe a broken finger or something i'd say he's just unlucky.

HA! I told you people undervalue PGs:

Wow at some of the answers... I would easily go with carmelo.. Imo theres a lot of good point guards in the league. Plus carmelo is one of a kind. He has a big body for a small forward and sometimes hard to guard one on one. Plus when is the last time a point guard who is the alpha dog, won a championship?

Hey, if he misses 4 games a year every year because its his ankle, so be it. 4 regular season games don't mean much.

I read that it isn't even his ankle, it's some joint that is out of whack that makes him put more pressure on them when he runs/walks. Interesting

Stephen Curry probably doesn't have ankle instability. Instead, he has another joint that is unstable. "All that rolls is not the ankle." His condition hasn't been completely diagnosed or treated, and his ankle arthroscopy surgery back in April did not address the instability. After reviewing the video, it's clear that there is something wrong that needs to be further evaluated. I would start with a clinical examination to find the area that has been incompletely treated...It seems to be in another area outside the ankle like the calcaneocuboid joint.http://www.goldenstateofmind.com/20...-curry-ankle-injury-diagnosis-lance-silverman

Just gotta hope he finds the right pair of high tops. Haven't had any scares this year, so I'm pretty hyped.

Yeah, it's probably just bad luck. Sucks that people are going to take that into consideration. I have a feeling it's going to be real close.

Melo is actually gaining some momentum. It's like 6-4 Steph or something, pretty close.

Random thing I noticed from the realGM thread, most of the melo voters take the 'its close' stance while many of the Steph voters are saying "wow this isn't even close"

It is a little weird you have guys totally with melo, totally with Curry, and guys on the fence. Seems like the guys on the fence lean towards melo, but still Curry has more votes.
