Driver Reactions – Post-Qualifying
Logan Slayer (#40, DGR-Crosley) – Pole Winner
"This truck was hooked up, man. Bristol is one of my favorite tracks, and I knew if we nailed our qualifying run, we’d be in a great spot for the race. Now it’s all about staying out front and keeping the fenders clean."

Tommy Bedlam (#77, GMS Racing) – Qualified 2nd
"We were so close! Starting on the front row at Bristol is huge, and I think we have a truck that can win. Gotta be aggressive early and make sure we stay up here."

Juice Millar (#53, Halmar Friesen) – Qualified 3rd
"We’ve got the speed, now we just have to back it up in the race. These short tracks are where I feel most comfortable, and I think we’ll be in the fight all night."

Chris Southern (#20, McAnally-Hilgemann) – Qualified 5th
"Solid run for us. This track is a battle from start to finish, so the key will be patience and making the right moves at the right time."

Ryw8z67.png

Stage 1 Recap (Laps 1-60)
- The race began under the lights at Martinsville Speedway, and the tight short track immediately brought action and drama. The field was set, and with Logan Slayer (#40) starting from pole, the competition was fierce right from the get-go.

- The race took off with Logan Slayer (#40) leading the field as the green flag waved. He quickly asserted control, maintaining the lead through the early laps. However, Juice Millar (#53) and Tommy Bedlam (#77) were hot on his tail, showing no signs of giving up the fight.

-The first signs of aggression came early, as Brett Moffitt (#23) pushed past Sheldon Creed (#2), moving up to 5th. The action heated up, with drivers jostling for position in the tight corners, making passing a premium. (Lap 10)

- Ben Rhodes (#99) began to struggle with handling, losing a few spots to Chris Southern (#20) and Zane Smith (#51). Rhodes's truck looked a bit loose, and he would need to make adjustments if he wanted to stay competitive. (Lap 20)

- A caution flag waved after Bobby Rey (#00) got loose in turn 2, and Grant Enfinger (#98) made contact with him, sending Rey spinning. This brought the field together, allowing for some strategy adjustments. Slayer, Millar, and Bedlam were all strong on the restart. (Lap 35)

- Restart chaos ensued as the field quickly tightened up. Drivers like Chris Southern (#20) and Zane Smith (#51) made big moves, getting past a struggling Brett Moffitt (#23), who was now back to 7th. The short track racing was on full display as drivers began to battle aggressively for position. (Lap 45)

- Tommy Bedlam (#77) was now in second, closely pursuing Logan Slayer (#40). Bedlam was applying heavy pressure on the leader, looking to make a move. But Slayer was solid on the bottom, using the short track's layout to his advantage. (Lap 50)

- Logan Slayer (#40) held off Tommy Bedlam (#77) and Juice Millar (#53) to take the Stage 1 win. The aggressive pace of the early laps rewarded Slayer with the stage win, but with tight racing behind him, it was clear that the rest of the field was right on his tail. (Lap 60)

Stage 2 Recap (Laps 61-120)
- The battle for second heated up between Tommy Bedlam (#77) and Juice Millar (#53). Both drivers were aggressive, trading positions multiple times. Meanwhile, Sheldon Creed (#2) had started to show signs of speed, climbing from his earlier 5th-place position to 4th. (Lap 65_

- Caution flag flew as Zane Smith (#51) was involved in a spin after contact with Grant Enfinger (#98). Smith’s truck went around in turn 4, but he managed to get it back going with minimal damage. The caution allowed the field to regroup and pit stops became a key moment for strategy. (Lap 70)

- Pit crews were on their toes as drivers scrambled for fresh tires and adjustments. Logan Slayer (#40) and Tommy Bedlam (#77) took two tires to keep track position, while others, like Sheldon Creed (#2), opted for four tires. Juice Millar (#53): “That was a strong run for us. We’ve been saving a bit, but I know we’re going to have to push in the final stage. The truck’s looking solid.

Tommy Bedlam (#77): “We’re right where we need to be. It’s tight racing, but I think we’ve got the pace to fight for the win in the last stage.

Brett Moffitt (#23): “We’re climbing up the field, and the truck’s getting better as we go. We’ve still got work to do, but we’re in a good spot now.”

Martinsville Speedway: Part Two

Final Stage Recap (Laps 121-200)

- With the field poised for the final 80 laps, the drivers were fully focused on closing out the race strong. Logan Slayer (#40) had held off the competition in both Stage 1 and Stage 2, but with Juice Millar (#53) and Tommy Bedlam (#77) breathing down his neck, the final stage promised to be a showdown. The pressure was mounting, and everyone knew the finish would be intense.

- The field roared back to life as Logan Slayer (#40) led the field into the final stage. However, Juice Millar (#53) made an aggressive move early on, pulling alongside Slayer for the lead by lap 123. Bedlam (#77) wasn’t far behind, setting the stage for a three-way battle at the front.

- The leaders were starting to spread out a bit, with Logan Slayer (#40) maintaining the lead, but Juice Millar (#53) wasn’t letting up. Behind them, Tommy Bedlam (#77) was engaged in a fierce battle with Brett Moffitt (#23) and Sheldon Creed (#2) for third. (Lap 130)

- Caution flag came out after Bobby Rey (#00) made contact with Zane Smith (#51), sending Smith into the wall in turn 3. This set up a round of pit stops, where strategies varied. Slayer and Millar opted for two tires, while Bedlam took four tires in an effort to gain track position. (Lap 140)

- After the pit stops, Logan Slayer (#40) held onto the lead, but Tommy Bedlam (#77) had a strong restart, quickly moving up to second. Millar (#53) dropped to third, as the fresh tires gave Bedlam an edge. (Lap 150)

- Tommy Bedlam (#77) wasted no time, diving into the inside of Slayer (#40) for the lead. The two made contact off turn 2, but Slayer managed to keep his truck under control. Bedlam moved into the lead, but Slayer stayed right on his bumper, with Millar (#53) continuing to apply pressure from third. (Lap 155)

- As Tommy Bedlam (#77) started to pull away slightly, Brett Moffitt (#23) made a move on Juice Millar (#53) for third, clearing Millar by lap 170. The racing was heating up, with drivers getting more aggressive as they chased down the leader. (Lap 165)

- The battle for the top 5 was intense. Brett Moffitt (#23) passed Sheldon Creed (#2) for fourth, and Chris Southern (#20) continued his solid run, now in 7th place, making a charge toward the front. (Lap 175)

- Logan Slayer (#40) began closing the gap to Tommy Bedlam (#77) once more. Slayer seemed to have saved just enough tire to make a final push, and he was able to make a strong dive into turn 1, retaking the lead from Bedlam. (Lap 190)

- The final five laps were full of drama. Slayer (#40) held off Bedlam, but Millar (#53) was lurking in third, closing in fast. A caution flag was expected, but the race remained green as drivers fought tooth and nail for position. (Lap 195)

- Logan Slayer (#40) held off a charging Tommy Bedlam (#77), capturing the win at Martinsville Speedway. The final laps were filled with hard racing, but Slayer stayed strong, bringing home the victory. (Lap 200)

tx8a4pn.png

Logan Slayer (#40): “This feels amazing. The truck was on point all night, and we kept pushing hard. I knew I had to fight through that final stage, but we had the strategy and the pace. We kept it clean, and it paid off with the win.”

Tommy Bedlam (#77): “What a race! We gave it everything we had, but just couldn’t get the pass done in those final laps. Logan had a strong truck, and we fought hard to keep up. Second place is still a great finish, and we’ll keep building on this.”

Juice Millar (#53): “We ran a solid race. I thought we had a shot to challenge for the win, but it just didn’t come together. We’ll take the third-place finish and keep our eyes on the next race.”

Brett Moffitt (#23): “The truck came alive in the second half of the race. We moved up and got a solid finish. We’ll keep working to get that win. Martinsville’s always tough, but I’m happy with how we executed today.”

150 Laps (Stage 1: 40 laps, Stage 2: 50 laps, Stage 3: 60 laps)

The Eldora Dirt Derby is one of the most anticipated races of the season, with its unique dirt track setting, providing exciting challenges for the drivers. On April 17, 2020, the weather played a major role as rain showers throughout the day made the track extremely muddy, adding even more unpredictability to what’s already a notoriously difficult race.

This race is unique, as it’s held on a dirt oval, and not all drivers are accustomed to these conditions, so some will need to dig deep to perform. With high humidity and wet conditions, it will be a test of patience and skill for the drivers.

Dover International Speedway: Part One
1920px-Dover_International_Speedway.svg.png

200 Laps (Stage 1–2 45: laps; Stage 3: 110 laps)

The Monster Mile Awaits!
The NASCAR Truck Series heads to Dover International Speedway, also known as "The Monster Mile," for Round 7 of the season. This high-banked, one-mile concrete oval is known for aggressive racing, tire wear, and hard hits when things go wrong. With its unique surface and high speeds, Dover is a driver’s track that rewards skill and punishes mistakes.

Drivers to Watch at Dover
Brandon Blaze (#83) – Momentum Building?
Brandon Blaze is showing flashes of brilliance but hasn’t quite put together a complete race. Dover’s high-speed corners suit aggressive drivers, and he’ll need to be on top of his game to secure a breakthrough performance.

Logan Slayer (#40) – Can He Stay Hot?
After a win at Eldora, Slayer is carrying big momentum. While dirt racing is a different beast, his confidence could carry over, making him a dark horse contender.

Juice Millar (#53) – The Short Track Expert on Concrete
Millar is typically dominant on short tracks, but Dover’s unique concrete surface presents a new challenge. If he can conserve tires and stay patient, he could be a factor in the final stage.

Brett Moffitt (#23) & Sheldon Creed (#2) – The GMS Duo
Both drivers have been aggressive early in races, often leading to strong stage finishes but inconsistent final results. At Dover, they’ll need to balance speed with strategy to challenge for the win.

Chris Southern (#20) – The Underdog Fighter
Southern has been fighting for points all season but hasn’t had the one race to stand out. Dover’s grueling conditions could create chaos, giving him a shot at stealing a top finish.

Tommy Bedlam on His First Career Win in the Jack Daniel’s Chevy

*"Man, this is unbelievable! First career win, and to do it like that? A three-wide photo finish? That’s the kind of race you dream about. This Jack Daniel’s Chevrolet was hooked up all day, and my crew gave me the best truck I’ve ever had. We fought hard, stayed patient, and when it came down to those last few laps, I just sent it.

I gotta give credit to Juice [Millar] and Brett [Moffitt]—those guys raced me clean, but they weren’t giving an inch either. I knew if I could get one last push off Turn 4, I might have a shot. When I saw that checkered flag, I didn’t even know if I had it.

This is for my team, my family, and everyone who stuck with me. We’ve been close before, but now we got that first win. And trust me, it won’t be the last!"*

Tommy Bedlam gets his first career win in dramatic fashion, putting his Jack Daniel’s Chevy in Victory Lane at Dover!

Brett Moffitt (#23) – 3rd Place:
"I gave it everything. We had the best truck all day, but when you get in a three-wide battle, it’s anyone’s race. Fun to be part of!"

JF Valley Departs Jordan Anderson Racing, Drops to ARCA

After struggling with funding issues, JF Valley (#4) has officially parted ways with Jordan Anderson Racing and will move down to the ARCA Menards Series for the remainder of the season.

What Happened?

Valley, who was balancing a partial Truck Series schedule with Jordan Anderson Racing, faced increasing financial hurdles. Despite some promising runs early in the season, sponsorship concerns forced the team to shut down his entry.

JF Valley on the Move:
"It’s tough, but right now, ARCA is the best place for me. I just need to get more experience and find the right backing to make a full-time return to Trucks. I’m not done yet."
