Well that didn't take long. Clearly they are making room for Christopher Bell.
Fuck. I hate to hear the news of him not returning to JGR. Bell's a clear cut choice to drive for the team unless he chooses to replace Jimmie Johnson in the 48 instead, and that's been buzzing in my head lately. And hey, maybe Jones will surprise the hell out of everybody by driving the 48 car, which is possible.

To me either Erik Jones or Christopher Bell in the 48 are better choices than Justin Allgaier. I've seen enough of Allgaier, going all the way back to when he drove for Penske in the Xfinity series. Which means that it probably will be Allgaier.

Fuck Allgaier. Hendrick Motorsports wants youth as we've seen that in drivers like Alex Bowman, Chase Elliott and William Byron. Allgaier's 34 years old and doesn't represent the brand that Hendrick envisions. Hendrick will be shooting himself in the foot if the boss man signs him. That would not be a good sign.

I have also seen reports that HMS could go to a 3 car team, with Bowman moving to the 48, and the 88 going away.

But with Jones being a free agent next year, that could change if they can get some sponsors.

Missed half of the Truck race earlier but caught that ending. Wow. During the last restart I was like "Yeah okay, Enfinger has this. Lets end this.". Then that wreck happened and Zane Smith outta nowhere speeds to the lead. Exciting finish for sure.

What an exciting finish to Michigan race #1.

I was pulling for my man Brad Keselowski to get his second straight win going into overtime, but came up short to the winner Kevin Harvick.

Congrats #4! He now ties Hamlin with five wins each for this season.

Got race #2 tomorrow. I'll be watching it no doubt.

Harvick winning...ugh. Not sure if I want to watch tomorrows race if Harvicks going to be faster again. Hopefully the choose rule helps someone else win. I'm all for Kyle being mad at Kevin though. The one time that I wanted to see Kyle be overly angry and he was calm during his post-race interview.

I’m happy Harvick won, I had others that would have made me happier. But he works

Like Chase Elliott..

he was trying his hardest to block Harvick from passing him until that caution came out. I actually wanted to see if he could hold off Harvick for 13 more laps. lol

Yeah, Chase would always be my number 1, first pick to win. We always got today, maybe he'll get it.

Would be cool to see Bubba pick up a win, or Matt DiBenedetto. Maybe even ErIk Jones, since he needs a new team next year, getting a win might help him out. Plus, no driver born in Michigan, has won there, so that be cool. Same for Brad winning, be cool for someone to finally win there that is from there. Either way, good luck today everyone. :mark:

I seen that. BK got too close to Blaney, accidentally bumping him causing them both to hit the wall. Bad day for both Team Penske drivers. :(

Harvick definitely silenced his critics by winning his second straight race in two days. I think I've read, even the announcers said, that it was the first time since Richard Petty in 1971, that a driver won two races in consecutive days. For winning today's race, he now ties Rusty Wallace for tenth in total Cup victories with 55. Congrats once again to Harvick!

One more and he ties Kyle Busch. Hopefully he can get two more and pass him
