Eh I'll own it. As I was re-reading his initial posts the vagueness of it could be attributed to an indy win condition so I wavered in that sense. I do find it far more likely he's just standard town however

I'm Mysterious Stranger, Gift Giver. There are pre-requisites that I must fulfill in order to activate gifts that will be revealed to me the next day. I am role bound from providing any more information. I'm dancing a fine line as it is.

Yeah which is what caused me to consider indy as a possibility upon the reread. I.e. once all conditions are filled he fulfills his win condition, he has to give out all gifts etc.
