Pretty simple question. When was the most excited you've ever been for a Wrestlemania? Which Wrestlemania got you so pumped, you'd probably bang a sloth to watch it (hey, hypothetically speaking). Now that we're less than 2 weeks away and a lot of people (including myself) are pretty lukewarm on this years 'Mania and some are just really excited because it's the grandest stage of them all (WHY AREN'T YOU MARKS EXCITED?! IT'S WRESTLEMANIA~!!! :inferno:), I wanna know when you were most excited for the "Super Bowl of Professional Wrestling".

Honestly it was back when I was a young lad. I got to see the first 5 WM at a friends house it was so great and I remember going there and being so ready for WM 3 that i was nervous and on the edge of my seat with savage/steamboat and Hogan/Andre. I had that heart racing thinking that Hogan would not win and could not pick up the Giant. Well onto later WM I would have to say it was WM2000 and felt let down big time and have felt that way ever since with them. I was pretty stoked for WM 18 because of Hogan vs Rock and haven't felt that way since. It comes around I watch them but nothing has given me that excitement and feeling that the first few did mainly because I was so young.

Damn, I would have loved to have been popped out around the early Wrestlemania's. I guarantee if I was old enough, I would have gone apeshit for 'Mania III with Hogan/Andre.

I agree with 18. I was really looking forward to Hogan/Rock so much. Since I was a gigantic mark then and was only 10, I was so pissed at what the nWo put Rock through in those couple of weeks before 'Mania. Crashing the 18 wheeler into the ambulance. I might have cried, actually. I was such a wimp.

But the first time I remember being incredibly excited for a Wrestlemania was X-Seven. More specifically, Rock vs Austin. Sweet Jesus, that sit-down interview with those two and J.R. on the go-home Smackdown was incredible. Really got me pumped at 9 years old. I needed Austin to win just as much as he did. Such a great year that was for me. Will always have 2001 and 2002 as personal favorite years of mine for wrestling.

The problem with being so young when Hogan was at his prime and on top of the world was that you basically ate up every word that he said and when he was getting injured with the Ribs by King Kong Bundy you wanted to send him letters and during every match you had that heart racing like you didn't know what was going to happen and thought it was real. You also had this great sports illustrated cover too:

It was quite a fun time for me as a fan and I didn't really recapture that fun with wrestling again until WCW and the NWO and some of the Rock and Austin stuff.

I went to both VI and X8 here in Toronto, but I have to say I was more excited for VI. There was just something about being a kid and having such a huge event not too far from where I lived, not to mention Hogan/Warrior was the most amazing thing in the world as an 11 year old. I was pretty pumped for X8 as well, but that had more to do with being hammered five hours before we even got to the Skydome.

I remember being really stoked for X8. Despite being a fan since 98 it was the first Mania I got to watch live. My cousin and I marked so hard for Hogan/Rock.

All things considered I'd say I was most pumped for 20 though. My all time fav was coming back that night (Taker), I was (and still am) a huge Eddie mark and of course the anticipation of another fav winning the big one finally (Benoit). Also Rock n Sock/Evolution, Christian/Jericho, etc.

I was really stoked for 23. It was my first WM since I started watching wrestling (not counting the ones I got on VHS) and I thought it was just the coolest fucking thing ever.
