"Punk's first match from Mania"

"If a guy really is a superstar and he is out for two and a half months his first match, if he really is a superstar, should mean something"

"He is a star who can't draw"

"What you're telling me is he can't draw nationally"
Meltzer is a Moron. He can have his opinion, but he's still irrelevant.

Punk can't draw though, look at his title run, the numbers weren't brilliant at all for all of that, not WWE Champion drawing level anyways, I think more people turned off when Punk was on TV without Cena around him.

Still, that quote makes no sense... Where in the world did Meltzer make those comments?

He's kind of right to be honest.

CM Punk may be very popular, but he still can't seem to draw that well compared to the likes of Cena (and only Cena, really). It's quite strange, you have so many popular guys on the roster who get a great reaction at live shows, yet when it comes to the casual fans sitting at home, all they care about is John Cena. No one else seems to matter to them. Not Orton, or Mysterio, or anyone.

Thought this was obvious to everyone by now.

He's an overpushed midcarder, would of been fine if he was champion on Smackdown but not on the shows anyone watches.

What's Meltzer trying to do here? Alienate the only fanbase he still has so the 2% of fans that take his opinion seriously won't even do that anymore

going by this idiots logic than Cena isn't a draw either since Cena/Ryback got the most attention and was also the main event.

Who defines draw? I mean someone still has to be number two so whose the second highest? Whose to say that Cena is putting the asses in seats? The guy isn't gone long enough to prove he's the only one attracting people

File this under the "No Shit Sherlock!" column.

Meltzer always giving us the breaking news and by breaking news, I mean shit people on message boards have been saying for the past 2 years, but why is he asking himself a followup question to his statement? Where did he say this and what is the context?

Pretty funny how Punk fans tend to pile on anybody who says anything obvious, but negative about their guy. Meltzer the smarks chronicler of over 30 years is irrelevant now lolololol, said that years ago btw.

Bet if JR said something like that, he would get shit on too.

He said this on his radio show that you have to be signed up for

What show? I hear him on the LAW every sunday and he sure didn't say it this week.

I'm not disagreeing witht the sentiment btw, I've been saying this since TLC 2011. Punk is no draw, anyone who says it can't be labelled a moron, becauxse if he doesn't have a high profile opponent, noone cares about him.

Have Cena leave for a few months, and then hype up a PPV where he makes a return and watch as it blows the last two PPVs away in buyrates. CM Punk was advertised for Payback, and it didn't outdraw Extreme Rules.

Someone spin me more yarn about how this should be brought on Cena, or Orton for that matter. Them motherfuckers leave for awhile, best be assured WWE loses some buyrates over that time and it goes back up when they return.

Believe that.
