Season One - Episode Five
The weekend special begins backstage with Der Meister in the gorilla position, flanked on either side by Kiffspiracy and Kitten Tooth with the sounds of the live crowd present in the Temple noticeably in the background. Der Meister is looking at a camera as they begin to speak.
Der Meister: Tonight the ‘Ensemble’ have been provided with an opportunity to show the rest of Lucha Underground why we truly are the most important stable present in professional wrestling. We will open the night and close the night with wins to our names. Myself, and my followers will win the opening Trios match - before The Dethazon ends the night with a victory over Dundee Banks. But really I think it is important to understand that our opponents in tonight’s opening contest consist of an overgrown Teddy Bear, a reject clown and an idiot wearing an animal mask that doesn’t even make any sense. Tonight, the ‘Ensemble’ will show that unity and a common agenda is vital to success in the wrestling ring. Wir sind die Zukunft. Die Vergangenheit ist sinnlos.
Der Meister makes his way to the entrance curtain and is followed by Kiffspiracy and Kitten Tooth, as the scene ends.

TRIOS MATCH
Summary: From the get go it was clear that the ‘Ensemble’ were very much on the same page and fighting as a unit under the clear direction of Der Meister Whilst, on the other side of the ring Loocha Bear and Enigmatico the Clown were both competent each other like two alphas battling to be top dog, whilst King Dokken was caught in the crossfire not sure whose direction he was meant to be taking. This led to the start of the match very much being dominated by the ‘Ensemble’ with the trio utilising hot tags and taking a clear advantage, despite Looch and Enigmatico as individuals offering much more on a single basis.
The match ending would come about during the most memorable moment of the contest. Loocha Bear would catch Kiffspiray by the throat and send him down to the mat with a Chokeslam, only for Kitten Tooth to springboard off the ropes and lay out Loocha with a Leaping Cutter. Before Kitten Tooth could attempt to go for a cover though, Enigmatico the Clown would break it up with a perfectly timed Baseball slide that would have so much power behind it Kiffspiracy would be flung out of the ring through the ropes.
Der Meister though launch off the turnbuckle and land with both his feet onto Enigmatico back causing him to crumple only to look on in shock as King Dokken would connect with a Superman Punch introduced by commentary as the ‘Ha Dokken Punch’ that would leave everyone agape as Der Meister would drop to the mat spark out, with Dokken looking set to claim an incredible victory on his debut. However, Loocha Bear would charge forward and end up kicking King Dokken square in head with a Big Boot taking out his own partner before dropping over Der Meister to steal the glory for himself.
Winners: Loocha Bear, Enigmatico the Clown & King Dokken

We cut backstage where Stangpede is standing with interviewer Foxxi Moxxi.
Foxxi Moxxi: I am joined backstage at this time by Stangpede who has been on quite a roll as of late and finds himself in a position where he needs just one more win in singles action and he will be eligible to challenge for the Lucha Underground Championship. Stangpede tonight you team up Flic de Cirque, what are your thoughts ahead of tonight’s contest?
Stangpede has a smirk on his face as he adjusts his stetson as he answers the question.
Stangpede: Tonight’s match is honestly just a waste of my time, but only a yellow bellied coward doesn’t step up to the starter's mark when he has been registered for a race. I will turn up and run the track and then head back to my hotel room and eat a bowl of spaghetti and drink a jug of ice tea. Then I will turn on the TV and watch a game of college football and be a damn patriot! Murica Bitch!
Stangpede tips his hat in Foxxi’s direction and makes his exit.

SINGLES MATCH
Summary: Adapto and Minarai Bino would feature in a high speed match, with both men working at full pace and never taking their foot off the gas whether it was bouncing from either side of the ring, springboarding off the ropes or leaping off the turnbuckles in a high collision. Both men really excited the fans in a match that lasted just over five minutes .
It would finish with Minarai Bino crashing down on top of Adapto in what started as a Shooting Star Press but with Minarai driving both his knees into Adapto’s chest knocking the wind right out of him, before hooking his leg over to claim the pin-fall victory.
Winner: Minarai Bino

The following segment is sponsored by Taco Bell.
The scene begins in a parking garage, with an expensive looking Chevrolet drifting around a corner before coming to a complete stop as it enters the foreground of the shot. On cue the door of the automobile opens up and out from it, almost effortless Duke Leopold steps out from it holding a taco in his hand as he says.
Duke Leopold: I have the need, the need for seriously tasty Tacos!
Before Duke walks straight at the camera as it fades to black.

TACO BELL SPONSORED TAG TEAM MATCH
Summary: Duke Leopold and Papihausen would continue their strange partnership by teaming up once more against the combination of Stangpede & Fli de Cirque. The match would be a blend of comedy and brawling, although the only person that wasn’t running with a comedy gimmick was Stangpede who at times couldn’t help, but show his frustration. One of these moments when his temper boiled over, rather than lock up in the middle of the ring Papihausen and Flic de Cirque had an impromptu dance off in the middle of the ring, which everyone in the Temple apart from Stangpede was enjoying themselves.
The match would end when Papihausen would attempt to coordinate with Duke Leopold by standing on his shoulder to get extra height for an aerial assault, but Flic de Cirque would end up running straight into Duke knocking the tower over and causing Papihausen to land directly onto top of the ropes only to walk straight into Stangpede firing line as he would connect with ‘The Patriot Act’ (Buckshot Spanish Fly) on Papihausen to flip him over and claim the match victory.
Winners: Stangpede & Flic de Cirque

We cut backstage to the office of Hombre del Sur, who clearly has something he wants to say as the Weekend Special has reached its mid-point.
Hombre del Sur: I have a message this evening, directly from El Jefe himself that is incredibly important and contains vital information for every current combatant within the Temple, but also for all future prospects that are hoping to one day join us here at Lucha Underground. In the very near future, we will be hosting a tournament to crown the inaugural Lucha Underground Trios Championship - at an event that will take place over multiple episodes. A tournament that will simply be known as ‘King of Trios.’
A promo poster appears on the screen, before Del Sur carries on speaking.
Hombre del Sur: It is no longer time to be a lone wolf, as if you want to stay relevant in the Temple it is essential that your name is on the list of registered teams that take part in the Kings of Trios.

SINGLES MATCH
Summary: Very little is known about either Doomsday and Grymm, but from what has been gathered they come from very different walks of life. However, when it came to their match they had great chemistry and were really able to bounce off each other. The match was fairly average in its output, that didn’t mean that either man wrestled poorly. Doomsday would look to finish the match by connecting with the ‘The Device’ (Flying Neckbreaker Drop), but Grymm would surprise everyone as he would take out Doomsday with a diving dropkick and proceed to roll over his opponent to claim the victory out of the jaws of defeat. It would also wipe Doomsday's slate clean of wins, with Grymm instead being added to undefeated win streak at least even if he did only have one singles victory to his name.
Winner: Grymm

We would move backstage to the private locker-room of Loocha Bear, where he would be cutting a post-match promo following his involvement in the evening’s open contest.
Loocha Bear: Tonight’s victory was about making a point, and an important point at that. I am without the doubt the most dangerous member of the Lucha Underground roster and you would be incredibly stupid to get on this bear’s bad side. Some people, no doubt will question me for kicking my own tag-team partner in the face only to cover the person that he took out - but I want to make this very clear to everyone. The only person I care about is me, and history books will only tell you one thing and that is that I claimed the pin-final victory for my team and nothing else. I am the top bear in these parts and this Temple that we fight off, this is my territory. Over the last few weeks, my ears have been burning. It seems like every nobody, loser and curtain jerker wants a piece of me in the ring. Well if you want some, just get some. I am the Loocha Bear and here comes the pain!
Loocha then makes a paw gesture, making it quite clear it is time for the camera crew to leave his room.

We cut to the commentary table for a quick catchup.
Chai Guy: So Alexa, how do you feel this first Weekend Special has gone so far? We are four matches down, with two still to go.
Alex Basura: I don’t think anyone can be disappointed with the action we have seen so far. Loocha Bear showed just how motivated he is to be the number one man in the Temple, taking out his own partner to claim the spoils of war. Grymm ended Doomsday winning streak, to put themselves on the board instead whilst we saw an impressive singles debut from Minarai Bino. All In all I would say the fans in attendance tonight are being spoiled.
Chai Guy: I would struggle to disagree with you there Alexa. And we have two massive matches left, although the No Disqualification Grudge Match between The Dethazon & Dundee Banks is going to be a season defining match.
Alexa Basura: Without a doubt CG. Whoever, of these two wrestlers loses tonight will be unable to challenge for the Lucha Underground Championship for the rest of Season One. And this before we have even crowned an inaugural champion and we have absolutely no idea how long this season is going to last.
Chai Guy: Up next though we have a Lucha Rules Tag Team match, were two of the men that brutally punished Four 20 last week will now have to contend with their victims' two friends. This is going to be chaos, of that I am certain.

LUCHA RULES TAG TEAM MATCH
Summary: The match would be extremely intense, although it became evidently clear from the get go that Ole Chris and Jeffansorus were far more interested in targeting Schmerzmacher than his partner Kong Fuji 666, which wasn’t all that surprising considering the absolute beatdown that he had put Four 20 through. Kong Fuji 666 though, would make it clear though that trying to push him to the side was not a good idea as he seemed determined to smash his forearms into both men’s faces at every opportunity that presented itself, to the point where he would actually ending up busting Ole Chris’ nose open causing torrents of blood to spill out.
Critical spots from the match would include Schmerzmacher and Kong Fuji 666, nailing Ole Chris following his nosebleed with a double diving elbow drops from opposite turnbuckles, with the pin only being prevented by Jeffasnorus breaking up the count at the last possible moment. The Hydroponic Homies would successfully pull off a double-team move of their own though as they would manage to drop Schmerzmacher down onto the mat with a variation of the Dudley Death Drop.
The match would come to an end, after Kong Fuji 666 would nail Ole Chris in the nose once again with a perfectly timed Spinning Heel Kick that would result in Ole Chris' nose to start bleeding again, although this time he would be attended to immediately by a ringside doctor. With a numbers advantage Jeffansours would become an easy target and would find himself being nailed with ‘The Devil's Number’ (Twist of Fate) by Kong Fuji 666 before Schmerzmacher would charge forward and nail the Big Dino in the back of the head with Shining Wizard. The referee would immediately ring the bell and end the match via TKO, on the decision that Jeff was no longer able to defend himself.
Winners: Schmerzmacher & Kong Fuji 666

NO DISQUALIFICATION GRUDGE MATCH
Summary: It was clear that there was a lot of hatred between The Dethazon and Dundee Banks, as Dethazon would attack Dundee Banks on the entrance ramp. The referee, understanding the stakes of the match, would end up calling for the bell and allowing it to begin in this manner. And it would take long for the pair to start reaching for weapons as they would collide chairs, street signs and kendo sticks and whatever they could get their hands on and smash them into each other.
At some point the pair would make their way back into the ring, but were intent on inflicting as much damage to the other as possible and seemed to have absolutely no in trying to pin the other or make them submit. Dundee Banks would end up drop Dethazon down face first onto the mat with the ‘Vault Drop’ (Styles Clash, but instead of going to the cover would instead force Dethazon up to her feet and throw her over the ropes and out of the ring.
The fight would push into the fans, as the pair would fight up the entrance staircase making sure to throw each other down a number of times before walking left of the stairs and fighting towards a balcony on the left side of the Temple. Dundee would find himself being slapped in the mid-section with multiple chops before attempting to send Banks over the railing with a Bicycle Thrust Kick only for Banks to dodge the blow and instead punch The Dethazon in the throat before grabbing hold of her and tossing her over his shoulders with a release German Suplex that would cause her to fly off the balcony and crash down onto some tables set up below the balcony.
The impact of the fall would send the fans in the Temple into complete chaos, as they would all get on their feet and proceed to chant ‘HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!’ for quite a while. Banks was left mouth agape, almost as if he was in disbelief in what he had done before climbing over the railing and looking as if he was going to leap off and land on the Dethazon below. He would leap off with the intention of connecting with a Frog Splash, only for the Dethazon to pull herself up and dive out of the way causing Banks to crash further down below into the crumpled tables.
Despite the manner in which she fell, The Dethazon would be the first to her feet and would start shouting at fans in the Temple and start grabbing their steel chairs and dropping them down onto a pile on the floor. Before taking hold of Dundee Banks and nailing him with ‘Bitch Effect’ (Lifting falling inverted DDT/hangman's neckbreaker) before dropping on top of Dundee to claim the pinfall victory.
Winner: The Dethazon
The Dethazon wouldn’t even be able to get back to her feet, as the show would come to a conclusion with the closing credits starting to play.
