The only reason I wouldn't have Drew win (and I think I'm repeating what I've already said in this thread) is of Punk is ready to go for SummerSlam. And thats also only bc Gunther has the shot already, but I absolutely love the possibility of Drew/Gunther for the title at that show otherwise.

And even with all that considered, I'd still be disappointed Drew lost even if it's for the Punk match at SummerSlam, that can happen later

I asked because I was thinking about Gunther's shot at Summerslam. Was going to ask would they really want to do heel vs heel with Drew.

But it's heel vs heel either way I guess. Unless a Babyface wins MITB and cashes in before Summerslam

Drew is certainly more of a face than Judgment Day to me too but there is a chance Priest gets turned on or something before SummerSlam and that would be a babyface vs heel match against Gunther. But I don't think it would be very hot compared to like Priest just facing Balor for a revenge angle after losing the belt.

They kind of have a booking knot here to take a GRRM term for why he can't finish his books, there's a lot of scenarios they can do but I genuinely don't know which is the best

Personally hoping its Drew/Gunther. Not only would it slap but it's a legit way to start Drews reign and Gunther owes him one. Can very easily have Gunther go on a tear after that and prime him for the Rumble if that's the direction they wanna go.

Post Mania there was a few weeks where they seemed to be teasing a Priest face turn with wanting to beat Jey on his own at Backlash and getting infuriated when JD and Balor got involved. But that really didn't go anywhere

They been teasing judgment day dissention for like two years now tbh I'm past the point of predicting when it happens bc I think they're just holding it in their back pocket for when they need to but the group keeps getting some new thing that gets over to prevent it

Oddly enough, I kind of want Priest to retain (even via Punk interference) and then also beat Gunther at Summerslam. I'm a huge Gunther fan, and know he'll be top dog one day, but a program where he continuously calls out Priest for not being able to win on his own only for Priest to actually beat him would be amazing for Priest. I guess it depends on how much faith HHH has in him to work as a babyface away from JD.
