Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn vs. Chad Gable​

At WWE Clash at the Castle, Sami Zayn will put his Intercontinental Championship on the line in a rematch against Chad Gable.

After Zayn overcame Gable in the final part of a Gauntlet Match to earn the right to challenge Gunther at WrestleMania, Master Gable trained the determined challenger to help him end the longest Intercontinental Title reign in WWE history. In return, Zayn offered Gable a title opportunity. When Sami emerged victorious in Montreal, however, Gable snapped and unleashed a vicious assault on the titleholder.

A bitter Gable soon turned the blame on his allies, as he chastised The Alpha Academy for their failures in the squared circle and for not helping him enough to win the gold. At the same time, he continued to tangle with the titleholder, with Zayn emerging victorious over Gable and "Big" Bronson Reed at WWE King and Queen of the Ring.

Not sure if Chad wins here or further down the line. Putting the contract stuff aside, i'm not sure if he wins the title and then does the split from The Academy, or splits from The Academy and forms with The Creeds and then wins the title.

I believe this is his 6th one in less than a year. Doesn't actually feel that way to me bc the Gunther feud was such a different Gable even tho it lead directly to this, but this does feel like his "last shot" if he's going to win at all

As much as I love Sami and have enjoyed his reign, Gable needs this win, providing he did sign a new deal. He’s been on another level right now and he should get rewarded for the work he’s put in.

Regardless, it’ll be a killer match.

Drew losing in Scotland is just too perfect for his character to pass up, particularly if he somehow gets screwed by Punk again.
