ROH The Bitter End - KENTA vs. Matt Sydal

Well this was surprisingly good. I liked seeing Matt dominated the opening portion, proving that he can hang with his senior opponent, and constantly thwarted KENTA’s attempts to squash him, fighting every move, continually getting up. Also his counter out of the GTS was thing of beauty. But this was not Kenta's best showing as most of his offense was kicks. ***1/2

After the match KENTA thanks the fans and promises we’ll see him again next year…as Samoa Joe storms to the ring. Joe gives KENTA credit for earning his respect with his awesome performances this year. With that in mind, he asks KENTA to take a message to NOAH. The message. BITCHSLAP! They brawl until students run out to pull them apart. :mark:

WWF Royal Rumble '90 - The Bushwhackers vs The Fabulous Rougeaus

Meh, didn't care much for this. The Rougeaus were in charge most of the time, but it got to where it was pretty one-sided even though the Rougeaus were doing good. Ending wasn't very good either, but that's just because I hate the Bushwhackers' Battering Ram finish most likely.

WWF Royal Rumble '90 - Brutus Beefcake vs The Genius

Genius's pre-match poem was great, but the first 3-4 minutes of this match did absolutely nothing. Even after that, it was still just a decent match at best when it got going. This is one of the few times I approve a DQ finish at a PPV because it involved a Perfect-Plex, and the match wasn't going anywhere anyway.

ROH Glory By Honor V Night 2 - ROH World Championship: Bryan Danielson vs KENTA

The story for the match was Kenta was What can i say about this match that hasn't been said already. The match is mentally exhausting, it starts out great and just keeps getting better and better. The crowd started to realize about 1/4 way through that this was something special, and it's great to see them get more and more invested in the match as time goes on. You can't find a fault with 30 minutes of perfect arm work, drama, emotion, story-telling e.g everything you want in a match is here. I love how Danielson's kept adjusting his strategy as he goes along from chain wrestling-striking-isolating the leg or arm-striking again-high flying moves which were all unsuccessfully before going to what got him to this point which was submissions. Another thing i loved was you could tell his shoulder a legit separated, and he’s not like just selling it. You could see it on his face how much pain he was in. The guy sold it like a FUCKING HERO coming back from war. And i know this post makes me sound like a little mark but fuck it another thing i loved about the story of this was Danielson is fighting for his World Title and for his physical well-being, and KENTA is protecting an undefeated streak and competing for a World Title that he wants. If that means Kicking the shit out of a separated shoulder he did it, if it meant using Danielson's own moves against him he used them. Just whatever he could do he did and Danielson would not die. One last thing i should point out was when KENTA hit the GTS that has to be one of the hottest near-falls in wrestling history. ***** FUCKIN' RIGHT!

WWF Royal Rumble '90 - "I Quit" Match: Greg Valentine vs Ronnie Garvin

Pretty good, but holy shit I have to question both of these guys' intelligence after this. They had to have went for at least 10 pin attempts each, how fuck hard is it to remember you can only win by Submission? Also, had to laugh at Schiavone calling the Sharpshooter that Garvin finish with a "Reverse Figure-4."

WWF Royal Rumble '90 - Big Boss Man vs Jim Duggan

Ugh, the only wrestling move in this match was a Bearhug by Boss Man. DQ finish was lame as hell too.

WWF Royal Rumble '90 - 1990 Royal Rumble Match

Very entertaining to watch. This was the first good Rumble in my opinion, and they would definitely get better in the future (save for a few bad ones), but this was still real fun. The Hogan/Warrior confrontation was surreal to watch, and I'm not even a fan of either. Oh, and I Perfect should have won, but instead Hulk had to no-sell the Perfect-plex

Ring of Honor Wrestling (7/21/12) - Adam Cole & Eddie Edwards vs Brutal Bob Evans & Mike Bennett

Pretty good tag match here, all the young guys looked good, and Bob played his part well. I love Cole getting the pin, but Bob wasn't the legal man when he got pinned...

WCW Saturday Night 1/6/1996: Lex Luger v.s Cobra.

Hahahahaha... Oh god Cobra's suplex on Luger where he just drops him in mid-air right onto his head is hilarious, yet incredibly dangerous. I think either Cobra lost his handle on Luger or Luger tried reversing the move in a way that Cobra wasn't ready for so he just drops him. It kills the match and everything else that happened and told me that Cobra doesn't belong in a wrestling ring, he belongs in a cage since he's a danger to society.

Friday Night SmackDown 07/20/2012 - Kofi Kingston, R-Truth, Epico & Primo (w/Rosa Mendes & Little Jimmy) vs. Primetime Players, Hunico & Camacho (w/A.W.)

I thought it was going to be one of those clusterfucks ut they actually gave this match a fair amount of time. It was pretty good to watch. All eight are pretty solid in the ring and it looked like we are witnessing a tag team division revival but then after the match Show comes out and kills everyone. But other then that this it was fun, well booked and a pretty great finish as well. **1/2

Ring of Honor Wrestling (7/21/12) - Fusion DS vs Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team

Prolonged squash here that was pretty fun to watch, though the first minute or so was pretty boring.

WCW Saturday Night 1/13/1996: Steve Armstrong v.s Alex Wright.

I thought this might be pretty good and it started off pretty good with some decent mat wrestling. However, Wright who tried dictating the pace of working on the mat couldn't keep up with Armstrong in this respect. However this kind of just leads to them trading holds just stalling out suddenly. Also since this is supposed be booked as Wright taking a beating a coming back, Scott works the arm a bit and hits a couple huge moves which end up looking useless. Armstrong hits a sloppy sit-out powerbomb(I should mention most of this match was incredibly sloppy) then ROLLS Wright into the ropes himself so he can put his bottom foot on them. I am dead serious. Wright ends up getting a small package then when they both get up. I couldn't believe how good it started for it to turn into such a garbage match.

Friday Night SmackDown 07/20/2012 - Daniel Bryan (w/AJ Lee) vs. Kane

This match was weird. I would call amazing and i wouldn't call it bad. I think if the two had more time, they would've delivered. Considering that these two could be working a program, it makes sense to not make them go all out tonight. But their were times you couldn't tell who WWE wants as the babyface or the heel, or if they want them either heels, or faces. **

Ring of Honor Wrestling (7/21/12) - ROH World Championship: Kevin Steen (c) vs Mike Mondo

Great main event, really liked watching this one. They had Mondo looking like a freakin' BOSS in this and Corino was hilarious on commentary as always. Mondo is over as fuck now too, more so than when he was a cheerleader 8D

Friday Night SmackDown 07/20/2012 - Sheamus & Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio & Dolph Ziggler (w/Vickie Guerrero & Ricardo Rodriguez)

This was probably the best match of the night. Th action was solid but they didn't go all out liked i hoped which was kinda dissapointing, they were also given the time as well (i think they got 18/19 minutes but they played it safe and wanted to reintroduce Rey Mysterio to the fans. *** Post-match, Del Rio slaps on the cross-armbreaker to Sheamus and won’t let go. Ziggler thinks about cashing in the MitB briefcase but Rey cuts it off with a 619 and Sheamus Brogue Kicks him. :lmao
