WCW Saturday Night 1/13/1996: Butch Long v.s Kevin Sullivan.

Sullivan pounds on Long until they both end up outside the ring where there is a flight of stairs near the ring. They were really well hidden... Well Long goes for a ride then after taking the tumble goes back to the ring, gets in and Sullivan puts him the tree of woe, hits his famous knee and follows it up with his double stomp to the gut. The stairs being involved were just typical Sullivan doing whatever the hell he wants. He also mocked Hogan on the turnbuckle as his opponent struggled back up them same stairs. Fun squash.

WWF WrestleMania VI - Koko B. Ware vs Rick Martel

For this to only have lasted 4 minutes it was alright, fast paced to start, slow when Martel was in charge and then with a hot ending, though the set up for the Crab was kinda' sloppy. Don't really think this was 'Mania worthy though, will probably say this a few times today.

WWF WrestleMania VI - WWF World Tag Team Championships: The Colossal Connection (c) vs Demolition

Decent match considering it was basically just 3 people working because Andre couldn't. I expected Demoltion and Haku to be able to have a better brawl though, it was kinda' boring. The ending was hot though, really liked watching that. And then afterwards, we get Andre's face turn after 3+ years of being a heel. Pretty cool.

WWF WrestleMania VI - Earthquake vs Hercules

Basically a squash, but Hercules looked pretty good and made the match better with the offense he got in. Not as boring or slow as I expected it to be.

WCW Saturday Night 1/13/1996: Men At Work v.s American Males.

Yeah, this is by far one of the gayest sounding matches on paper that you'll ever see. The match shouldn't have gone nearly as long as it did, too. The flow and the pace was never the same. The speed of the match would change at a dime and only lead to ordinary spots. Nothing really impressive is done here for about the 10 minutes this does last. The beginning of the match where the American Males show off that they are explosive faces takes too long to develop. Then Men At Work fail to capitalize on what could have been a good time to stall and look for an opening like a good, heel tag team. Nope, Mark Starr gets back in the ring and takes a beating from Riggs. At least a little later they target after the knee of Bagwell however for how aggressive they were towards it came off really awful when it just stopped and it wasn't sold. The finish was a mess as well. At first it had a good set up then what they had planned after it was just not something I could take seriously. Riggs takes a double team suplex from his opponents while Bagwell watches from the top rope. He waits until his partner is out to dive on just one of Men At Work. Also Riggs tried getting up during this crossbody only to get caught under it for a rough landing himself. So Riggs should be out and the other half of Men At Work should break up the pinfall, right? FUCK NO, I'll just watch my partner lose because this is the lame ass finish we booked. Hahahaha.

WCW Starrcade 1995: US Title Match- One Man Gang v.s Kensuke Sasaki(c).

It was a dark match from Starrcade... They decided to show it now on WCW Saturday Night. Sasaki deserves better. That is all I got to say about this.

WWF WrestleMania VI - Brutus Beefcake vs Mr. Perfect

Decent at best, should have been much better and also got a bit more time. Ending was so bad though, no way Perfect should have lost that way...or lost to Brutus at all.

WWF WrestleMania VI - Bad News Brown vs Roddy Piper

Started off as a nice brawl, which is what I expected, but it got boring really quick. Roddy had half his body painted black as well, that was distracting. Double Countout finish was underwhelming, but I'm okay with it because I don't think this match was really going anywhere.

WWF WrestleMania VI - The Bolsheviks vs The Hart Foundation

This match literally lasted 15 seconds before Bret and Anvil hit the Hart Attack for the win. Fine by me.

WWF WrestleMania VI - The Barbarian vs Tito Santana

Not very good at all, but the Flying Clothesline Barbarian used to finish with looked pretty good. Not 'Mania-worthy though.

ROH United We Stand - KENTA vs. Rocky Romero

This had good and back and forth wrestling full of reversals and counters of holds. It suffered a bit from lack of emotion and missed some of the energy Kenta usually show, this also reminded me allot like the match with Sydal where Romero seemed to get more offense in and Kenta just did his normal offense. But overall this was pretty solid. ***1/4

WWF WrestleMania VI - Dusty Rhodes & Sapphire vs Randy Savage & Sensational Sherri

Meh, it was better than I expected, though that's not saying much. The best part about this match was Ventura absolutely owning Monsoon for his face bias, more so than usual.

ROH Driven 2007 - KENTA vs. Bryan Danielson

This was not on the level as the Glory By Honor match, and i wasn't expecting it to be. Because what they did that night was like capturing ligning in a bottle but with that being said this was another jam packed match full of the usually great wrestling and chemistry they have. I thought they did a great job building the intensity of the match with every strike. The opening 5/7 minutes was great with Danielson trying to use his wrestling to overcome the explosiveness and kicking power of KENTA. In the end they were both so evenly matched that it just became a total war, with each man beating the shit out of eachother without using weapons but their bear hands. Another thing i liked was that both men took what they learnt in that first match and countered almost every move the other did. So if you saw Bryan or Kenta hit one of their usual moves it meant some thing. The closing minutes were insane and you could feel whoever could outlast the outhers big moves, and hit their big finish first would win and that's what happen in the end. ****1/2

WWF WrestleMania VI - The Orient Express vs The Rockers

Good match here with some nice action. I hated the ending though, but it was funny the way Jannetty got counted out. Either way, this was the match of the night so far.

WWF WrestleMania VI - Dino Bravo vs Jim Duggan

Should not have been on the PPV at all, especially not this high up on the card. At least it was short.
