You mean besides the fact that a scum PR is rare-to-nonexistent, and it is far more likely that someone has a town PR than they randomly decide to fake a PR on a character that, by his own admission, is not exactly obvi-town?

The pr could be a fake to blend in since he’s preparing to have us not like his claim. A pr on top of a scummy role feels harsh for a town role, but with Odo could be.

I don't particularly like how you backtrack almost immediately here. First phrase is you thinking Doddsy could be scum, first part of the second phrase confirms it, but then with the last part you just immediately build in the fail safe.

That's not what I'm implying at all.

I'm saying a scum PR barely ever exists, and if you're going to fake a PR, you're unlikely to do it with a CHARACTER that is not fairly obviously a town character.

IE, Occams Razor implies Doddsy's PR is indeed town and you doing your whole 'for some reason' thing just feels like filler.

The problem I have is I feel like he wasn't openly scumming at all until CP and Poyser starting voting for him. If he was being genuine about wanting votes right now why would that transition only come once he started to be called out?

CP/Haza: No reason for me not to try some scum hunting first, there was no need for me to openly scum right away. The votes presented a good opportunity and we are quite early in the day with a ton of time left. so yea, opportunism and timing.

My issue with this is that you weren't really scum hunting at all. Until CP voted you, like I said, your posts were just kinda there. Trying to blend in rather than to interrogate the people playing like you usually do.

I think the most damning point in your case is that he was acting like you also knew what he was suspecting and I don't seem to find a proper defense of him to that point.

I don't get what you and Haza are on about with this tbh.

Literally on page 3 he says

You will find I am more than willing to endure abuse for the republic

so the idea that the man wasn't pushing his role BEFORE he was sussed is silly.

I don't really think there's any question he has the role or something similar to it tbh, it's something that is surely provable down the line and quite simply an unnecessarily risky thing to claim d1 if not true.

The real argument against Jeff is that the role could be any alignment; I know I shouldn't get into indy spec this early but it's certainly not outside the realm of responsibility that Odo - the brains behind my Indie Hel mechanic - would be giving an Indy Jeff this sort of role.

Nah it means I can't explain very well why I think he looks better than he usually does. Just seems to me the PR allows him to post more freely somehow.

What does Occams Razor have to do with this? I have a very poor memory of past games.
