That had to be awkward. Getting used to a guy and then saying goodbye to him lol.

More On Kaval's Release, WWE's Approach To Wantaway Talent

- The latest on Kaval's WWE release was that it was more his decision than WWE's.

Kaval wanted to be released from his contract because the company had no plans for him, as demonstrated by the way he was squashed on SmackDown this past week.

At this point, WWE is now more or less granting releases to whoever asks for them and not attempting to keep talent as much as they did last year. Last year, WWE didn't want people jumping to TNA, while right now they don't see them as serious competition.

Well at the end of the day it is good for all parties as those who don't want to be there aren't kept around and possibly being a cancer in the locker room or in some of the younger guys ears, and WWE can give their time and focus to a guy who does want to be there may have never gotten the chance to shine.

Posted that last page :p

It's hard for him to want to be there if from the go when they are supposed to be pushing they have totally no plans for him at all.

The only good thing about this is that at least it wasn't just them releasing him before Christmas for the sake of it like it came off as at first or even for the fact that he made some twitter comments.

Does it matter really? I mean, he just won tough enough. Yeah, he's a great talent, but where did you really see him going? He had no chance at winning the big time for real, and he had no chance at competing with anyone other then Rey Rey in the WWE.

ECW would have been PERFECT for Kaval as a permanent home. But now, he gets to stick to what he knows the best: The Indys. Good riddance.

WWE makes no sense. They release one of the hardest working wrestlers on Smackdown, who is also very much over with the crowd. But they keep JTG, who is neither of those?

JTG is so much more over than Kaval was it isn't even comparable (with and especially without LayCool) and JTG also delivers quality matches, not Kaval quality, but quality regularly on WGN (with their other Superstars mainstays).

Such a cut throat business, was really surprised to see Kaval endeavored he could of been a solid midcarder given the right fued.

I knew he would be released, it was just a matter of time. He is a great wrestler that had potential to be a solid mid carder in WWE but WWE sadly misused his talents and made him job all the time. This basically makes NXT 2 pretty much pointless. I wasn't surprised at all

- Kaval requested his release from WWE after being frustrated over his position with the company. WWE creative was told to job him out after winning NXT but were then told to build him up for a few weeks for the pay-per-view title match against Dolph Ziggler, which he lost.

Creative was then told to start jobbing Kaval back out again. The story is that after he lost to Drew McIntyre on the December 21st SmackDown, he asked officials if he had any heat and was told no. Kaval then asked if they had any future plans for him and was told they had no plans or ideas for him. He then asked for his release and was granted.
So if true they were just jobbing him out just to job him out. Pretty fucked up.

He was the only rook "bringing some Total Nonstop Action" and shot himself in the ass.

That's not enough of a reason to make a guy have no plans and purposely bury him though. Shouldn't have even made him win NXT in the first place.

They didn't make him win NXT though, the fan voting did according to reports. I knew that he would get in hot water because of being the first guy to mention TNA on live WWE TV, but they took his punishment too far even if what he did was dumb as hell. A month or two of getting jobbed/squashed and some embarrassing segments should have been enough, especially after that ppv showing.

That's what happens when you have no fucking charisma, no mic skills, no decent look and no size. He's useless in WWE.

That's why they shouldn't have fan voting, if it's legitimate. I don't really believe it is, though. It's too convenient, like Cena getting his job back and then winning SOTY. Too obvious.

Not like WWE hasn't rigged voting before is all I'm saying.

It's just extra stupid to me because of the work he put in under FCW. Did all that work just to have his run in a few months.
