Do you agree that most likely Jack Swagger will have another 2 year run in the WWE and after that he might get released from the company?. i don't mean too diss his character but theres not a whole lot of stuff left for him in the future. he might go the same way Billy Gunn did.

I think we could very well expect a departure from him around 2014. After WWE who knows? maybe he go too TNA or do an independent circut.

I personally like him, and he proved he has main event charisma, I really enjoyed his world title run, and would like to see him in the title picture again some time soon. I hate how WWE pretty much dropped him from anything title related.

I'm really not much of a fan to be honest. I was at first, but I didn't like his title run, and I'm fine with where he is now, but they dropped him down there entirely too fast.

He proved to me on ECW what he was capable of and how talented he was, so when he was moved to the main roster I was hoping he'd be steadily built up and polished, getting a couple of notable mid card fueds and a mid card title reign.

But then he won MITB, and I'm okay so they have big plans for Swagger, hooray! So I guess for the next few months he's going to be in a high profile fued or two and built up to main event credability, cool. After cashing in the following Smackdown, I was confused but optimistic. I knew he was talented and that whatever happened, surely a WHC reign will be good for his career, right?

Then WWE had Big Show embarrass Swagger for a couple of months, were disappointed in his inability to get over in the spotlight and never bothered to throw him another bone. Basically, the same mistake they've gone and made with Zack Ryder. If there was something evident in that angle it was that Swagger still needed some work in some areas, but still showed promise. What perplexes me is how instead of giving Swagger something to do that will help get him to where he needs to be, WWE dismiss him and throw him to the wayside.

So yeah, I place a lot of the blame on WWE for dropping the ball with Swagger, but as much as I like him I know he'd probably never be on the level of, say, Kurt Angle. Still, looking at his athletic ability and wrestling background, thats a lot of talent going to waste isn't it?

His world title run was shit. How anybody thinks it was good I don't know. That is nothing against Swagger because his reign was booked terribly and he constantly looked weak. Not to mention he never should've won the MITB briefcase. He was in mid-card turmoil, wins it, then everybody is supposed to believe he should be World Heavyweight Champion? Get the fuck out of here, WWE.

The guy is being wasted, that's my feeling about him. Every time he gets placed into a match you can pretty much expect him to lose it. I don't really understand why he gets buried, but it tends to fly under the radar as this thread is the first mention of Swagger I've seen around here for quite some time. He's talented, he can wrestle, he has great size and is obviously athletic, granted his mic skills won't ever be great due to his lisp but they're still decent nonetheless.

Should probably be rated a little higher on the food chain than he currently is.

Hopefully he gets injured or something just so that the writers can reboot him and build him better. Swagger has it, I know he does, but the way he was booked really sucked! His promos as a WHC sucked. It would be better for him to take on like 3 local wrestlers in a gauntlet match as his promo just to prove how sophisticated his grappling skills are. This makes him more cocky and build more heat to have some guy in the back step forward for a "real" match.

He's not getting released. Former world champions have job security, however irrelevant they may be. If anything, he's more likely to quit since they refuse to use him, and rightfully so, because it was a total mistake to waste that world title run on him when he clearly isn't top star material. Awful.

Lou, I did not enjoy it much. I know Swagger is better than that.

Dunno why OP thinks he'll last a couple of years more.

He hasn't been involved in anything meaningful for a long ass time. The only time you see him now is to job to Brodus......seems like hes close to done now.

He needs a gimmick overhaul because his current gimmick isn't working at all. He needs to become that wrestler that was excellent in ECW because as others have said he was really good back then and was a good ECW champion. He has stagnated big time after being buried as champion and he needs freshening up. It would probably be good for his character to be off television for a month or two to change things around a bit so that people can forget about how far he has dropped.
