It's stupid, I know but I can't help it.

The thing that irritates me the most is people and their butchering of the English language. I know it's not that big of a deal and it shouldn't be bothered by it. It doesn't bother me when it happens every once in awhile because it happens, but when I see an entire update on Facebook or Twitter etc... Where the entire update is filled with countless many grammatical/spelling errors it bothers me. I'm sure we've all heard of a Grammar Nazi, basically corrects the grammatical/spelling errors regardless, which is something I consider myself to be. I know some people can take offence to having their grammar/spelling corrected, and I sure that's something that irritates them as well. Anyways, that leads me to my question,

"What's something that you find irritating?"

I'm with ya, brother. The younger generation (here I am sounding old) seems to be gravitating to a text speak...next thing ya know books will all be written in it! lol!

Another thing that burns me is WHY even teach cursive writing anymore?

The only major grammar annoyance for me is with the 'could care less'/'couldn't care less' thing.

I knew somebody was missing me here . ;)

As for the thread . Nothing really irritates me because i dont really care much about what other people do , what they wear , whether they are writing grammatically correct e.t.c... yeah Sometimes ,i do get a bit irritated from the girls who are overly obssessed with themselves, specially on facebook but again there is a beatifull option of "unfriend" to solve the problem .

I don't care about text speak or whatever the fuck it is called. I hate it when someone tries to spell a word to sound smart, but totally miss the mark.

Just shows how ignorant they are, there is a google bar on the top of most windows these days, you can use them.

My only annoyance is that people still don't know there/they're/their and your/you're. Is it really that hard?

- Bad grammar (Grammar Nazi as well)
- "Ahmahgahd I'm THE biggest fan of this band! I only know their one song on the radio, but ahmahgahd I <3 them!"
- People saying they're "gamers" because they play Angry Birds on their iPhone.
- All reality/celebrity shows.

Note: I sometimes say "could care less" :p I know it's wrong though, but it just comes out like that.

Well if it isn't American then it is foreign so you have an English accent :p

Uhhh...

- Cockney
- Hampshire
- Geordie
- Brummie
- Scouse
- Mancunian
- Scots
- Northern Irish
- Welsh
- BBC English / Oxbridge / "Posh"
- Essex

^all "British" accents.

When people say that, they're usual thinking of one of the London accents - either cockney or "BBC" - which are most commonly featured in Hollywood movies as "British".

That's what i'm saying, people hear Layla speak then think that's the British or English accent everyone has. It's so moronic and it does my head in.
