Not weird at all. Things that are entertaning to do, don't have to be entertaining to watch and it's like that with most of things in the world. Even when things are entertaining to watch, they entertain you so much more when you do them.

Same with me and soccer(football) I enjoy playing it, but just cannot watch it.

I'm an MMA fan and even I don't want to go from grappling with dudes all day to watching that shit when I get home. You get burnt out, gotta have some variety.

Yeah that's extremely weird and borderline psychotic. You should get that looked at because this could put your friends and family in danger.

It's pretty much agreed that participating in a sport and not watching it on tv is considered normal. Especially if your enjoy learning it for the fun of it, and not trying to be super competitive.

I think that with a lot of sports it is a fairly common thing. Most sports are enjoyable when you actually play them but you have to really be into it to watch on a regular basis.

It is one of the strangest things to watch on television. It is shown here sometimes on ESPN and I will watch it for a bit but it doesn't translate well into a spectator sport. Definitely a lot better if you participate in it.

The only sport that I found I enjoyed watching while participating in was Track. Football (American) is off and on. I'll always wanna play it but not always wanna watch it. Just sometimes. But soccer (football) is one I can't stand to watch but miss playing.

Just some are more enjoyable to watch than participate in.
