^^^That's pretty much CHIKARA in a nut-shell. Full of wacky and colorful characters that are aimed at both adults and kids. The thing is that the characters are actually entertaining and the wrestling is pretty good too.

Hello Kitty in PWG sounds so ridiculous, I have to see it to believe it. I've really gotten into PWG and Chikara in the past month, but I want to start seeing more CZW. Other than the matches on a best of American Hardcore DVD, I haven't seen enough of them yet. I found them OK on that DVD, even with the promos saying f--k every 2 seconds (Eddie Kingston)

PWG's 2nd Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament on May 17 and 18

On May 17 and 18, 2008, eight tag teams will meet at the Burbank Armory for the second ever Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament (DDT4), and much like the first tournament, whichever team wins the final match will be the undisputed Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Tag Team Champions. Also like last year's tournament, the field of competitors is diverse, being comprised teams from all over the world, and they've all set their sights on the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Tag Team Championship.

Already announced for the tournament:

Los Luchas (Phoenix Star & Zokre) - Los Luchas were the first team to qualify for the tournament by winning the Round Robin Qualifier Series earlier this year, and after their impressive victory on April 5, they hope to use that momentum to win the tournament.

El Generico & "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen - By virtue of winning the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Tag Team titles at 1.21 Gigawatts on March 21, El Generico and Kevin Steen became the second team to qualify for the tournament. Unlike last year, when the titles were vacant, Generico and Steen will have to defend the titles in each of their matches throughout DDT4 (which means the Championship could change hands a total of three times throughout the course of the tournament).

Ronin & Scorpio Sky - The third team to qualify for DDT4 came as a result of Commissioner Dino Winwood's commitment to sportsmanship, who, after reviewing the footage from the final match of the Qualifier Series, allowed Ronin and Scorpio Sky one more opportunity to capture a spot in the tournament, which they took advantage of.

The Dynasty (Scott Lost & Joey Ryan) - Rounding out the first half of the announced teams are former Tag Team Champions "The Professional" Scott Lost and Joey Ryan, The Dynasty. Lost and Ryan view DDT4 as their chance to prove that they lost the titles due to Super Dragon's interference, and that they are the premiere tag team in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla.

The remaining four teams all hail from varying backgrounds, but share a singular goal:

The Briscoe Bothers (Jay & Mark Briscoe) - Hoping to avenge their loss to Roderick Strong and "The Man That Gravity Forgot" PAC in the finals of last year's DDT4, Jay and Mark Briscoe, are prepared to do whatever it takes to win the titles that always seem to elude them.

Jack Evans & Roderick Strong - After his success in the first DDT4, Roderick Strong is back to reclaim the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Tag Team Championship, this time with Jack Evans. While these two have been facing each other more often than teaming together as of late, both men are united by a common goal.

Kota Ibushi & KAGETORA - Both making their Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and in one case American, debut, Kota Ibushi and KAGETORA have won over legions of fans in their short careers, and hope that their first foray into Southern California will match the success they've experienced thus far.

Super Dragon & Davey Richards - Arguably the biggest wild card in the tournament due to injuries and personal differences, Davey Richards and Super Dragon hope DDT4 will be a return to form for one of the most successful tag teams ever in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla.

Full Impact Pro returns to action on April 26th for "Dangerous Intentions 2008" at its homebase of Crystal River, FL with a huge event (check www.FullImpactPro.com for ticket & building info). Already signed is a grudge tag team match as Black Market of Joey Machete & Shawn Murphy return to FIP to seek revenge against The Dark City Fight Club of Korey Chavis and Jon Davis.

Chavis and Davis made quite an impact on FIP and Black Market. They attacked Machete outside his home and put him in the hospital, forcing him to miss the "Redefined" FIP event. Then at "Redefined" they brutally attacked Shawn Murphy, knocking him out of action. Now Black Market will finally get a chance at revenge in the first meeting between these two teams. This grudge tag team match will only be one of the featured attractions as three big title matches have been signed for April 26th.

"If you thought you have seen Black Market violent before," Machete said, "you haven't seen anything yet. Dark City Fight Club brought violence to the next level by attacking me outside my home, right in front of my family. Now we are going to take things to the next level on April 26th in Crystal River. You've never seen Black Market like this before."

Stipulation Announced For FIP World Heavyweight Title Match

The feud between FIP World Heavyweight Champion Roderick Strong and Erick Stevens is red hot. It got even hotter at the March 29th ROH event in Orlando when Strong and Stevens fought in a bloodbath. Strong then took Stevens' identity by shaving his mohawk, which Stevens has had his entire career (see highlights of this for free in the current ROH Video Wire at ROHvideos.com). Now these two will collide on April 26th in Crystal River, Florida.

The issue between these two cannot be settled in a normal match. After they battered each other in Orlando until neither man could stand, they will fight in a Last Man Standing Match for the FIP World Heavyweight Title on April 26th.

"This is going to be a war and I wouldn't want it any other way," Stevens said. "Roddy has taken my belt in what should have been the most glorious night of my career. Now he has taken my identity. I'm going to take what he loves more than anything and that's the FIP World Heavyweight Title. Get ready for a battle, Crystal River."

Briscoes Set For Rematch For FIP Tag Team Titles

The YRR of Kenny King & Jason Blade shocked everyone by winning the FIP Tag Team Titles from Jay & Mark Briscoe last November. They have done their best to duck The Briscoes, but they can't avoid them anymore. King & Blade will defend the belts vs. Jay & Mark Briscoe on April 26th in Crystal River, FL. The Briscoes are determined to win the titles back.

"We are going to pull out everything we got on April 26th," Jay Briscoe said. "Ya'll better man up when The Briscoes come to Crystal River. Those are our belts and they are coming back to me and my brother."

Delirious Gets Florida Heritage Title Shot

Delirious has become a thorn in the side of Sal Rinauro and The YRR. He has even pinned Florida Heritage Champion Rinauro on two occasions, including ROH's "Proving Ground" event last January. Now Delirious will get his shot at the belt. It will be Rinauro vs. Delirious for the Florida Heritage Title on April 26th in Crystal River, FL.

"I have even less respect for Delirious than I do for the so called hall of famers from Florida like Eddie Graham and Gordon Solie," Rinauro said. "The only good thing about this match is afterwards I'll have my choice of Delirious' mask or the Florida Heritage belt for toilet paper."

"Redefined" Out Now At ROHwrestling.com

The new chapter in FIP history started just over six weeks ago at FIP's "Redefined" event. This loaded card set the new tone for FIP and it is already available on DVD at ROHwrestling.com. Check out the brutal FIP World Heavyweight Title Match as Erick Stevens defended vs. Roderick Strong plus: The Black Market vs. Heartbreak Express feud comes to an end; Sal Rinauro vs. Tyler Black for the Florida Heritage Title; Nigel McGuinness vs. The Necro Butcher in an Anything Goes Match; Jason Blade & Kenny King defend the FIP Tag Team Titles vs. former WWE developmental talent; Lacey & Rain vs. Allison Danger & Trenesha; Chasyn Rance vs. Seth Delay; Austin Aries vs. Davey Richards with Aries' FIP career vs. Dave Prazak's manager's license plus more!!! Tod Gordon is done with Pro Wrestling Unplugged come June and the company's future is looking bleak. That's the story I'm hearing from reliable sources today as the company heads into their "Cuffed & Caged" event next weekend. The reasons being given to me is that Tod Gordon's departure is due to a personal matter outside of wrestling. While PWU's status post-Gordon is up in the air, the company's future is in serious doubt and the situation doesn't look very good. The promotion is funded by both Gordon and Don Bootz, so the company will essentially be losing one of it's main money men. We'll have more on this soon.

At April's "Winner Takes All" event, the war between the Miracle Ultraviolence Connection, and 2 Girls, 1 Cup continued, and escalated to new heights. The Miracle Ultraviolence Connection of Cheech, Cloudy and Brodie Lee scored the victory but that quickly became an afterthought. Once again, Brodie Lee appeared ready to take "Piece of Ass" Kylie Pierce's head off before she was rescued by her team, mainly the very rotund and hungry Greg Excellent.

If you've been over at CZWrestling.com in the past few days, you would have seen 2 exclusive videos from both the Miracle Ultraviolence Connection, and Greg Excellent. In the first, the Miracle Ultraviolence Connection explains that they can't wait until TOD to get their hands on 2 Girls, 1 Cup, and instead have challenged Greg Excellent, Beef and Uno repsectively to matches at May 10th's Best of the Best event.

In the subsequent response, an angry and blown up Greg Excellent explains that because of Brodie's actions, he will forego his dream of participating in the Best of the Best tournament (for this year), and will instead ACCEPT BRODIE LEE's challenge to a HARDCORE WAR at May 10th's BEST OF THE BEST event!

In addition, CZWNEWS has learned that Beef Wellington and Player Uno have sent a video response to Cheech and Cloudy which will be posted tonight exclusively on CZWrestling.com. Will the Canadian "laugh guys" accept Cheech and Cloudy's challenge? We'll find out tonight.

ALSO... the brackets for this years huge BEST OF THE BEST TOURNAMENT are in the process of being finalized. Stay tuned to CZWrestling.com in the coming days as we announce the lineup for this year's exciting tournament. And don't forget... just a week after May 10th's Best of the Best, CZW's May Madness continues as we head to Delaware for May 17th's TOURNAMENT OF DEATH 7! Stay tuned for more information on the year's most Ultraviolent event.

All I can say is, bout damn time CZW started using their website to promote their up coming events instead of using it to help some chick win a "hometown hotties" contest.

AFTER 20 YEARS IN THE BUSINESS, TOD GORDON ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT:

From the desk of Tod Gordon

It was not my intention for this to become a matter of public record until after I had an opportunity to address my dressing room and my staff on Saturday night, but with the age of the internet upon us, that turned out not to be possible. It’s not a complicated story folks. A member of my immediate family is gravely ill and both my physical and financial resources must be devoted to 24/7 healthcare. It would be virtually impossible for me to devote the time and energy needed to run PWU and my store and be a caretaker. Something had to give. It’s been 20 blessed years in this business surrounded by top notch quality talent both in front of and behind the camera. I will miss each and every one of them along with all of you fans who supported me so faithfully.

BUT THERE IS A SILVER LINING:

Two companies will emerge from what I leave behind. The owner of the New Alhambra has pledged to keep wrestling events happening in that building every third Saturday of the month. In fact, he plans on using most of the same talent you’ve come to love and/or hate in PWU with a few exciting additions. After my last event this Saturday night, please check out www.newalhambra.com for information regarding this promotion that will run it’s first show on Saturday night, May the 17th to be followed the third Saturday in June with the annual New Alhambra Hardcore Hall of Fame ceremony.

At the end of this letter I’m attaching a release from my good friend John Kashmere regarding the future of PWU and an exciting innovative concept he has developed. In closing, my heartfelt thanks to every independent wrestling fan reading this. Please continue to support independent wrestling and I’m hoping you’ll be there this Saturday night at Cuffed and Caged to say goodbye. God Bless you all.

Tod Gordon

PRO WRESTLING UNPLUGGED, the force behind innovations like The Crazy 8 Match, Cuffed + Caged, and the Red Carpet Rally, now embarks on a revolutionary new adventure in sports entertainment known as “WRESTLE-REALITY”.

This Saturday, PWU hosts AL SNOW, BUSHWACKER LUKE, GARY WOLF, JOHNNY KASHMERE, & THE BACKSEAT HOODIES during intermission to sign autographs, discuss PWU’s newest concept, and announce the date of PWU's next event. They will also be on hand to give their respect at the retirement of wrestling legend TOD GORDON.

Check out ProWrestlingUnplugged.com later this week as we define "WRESTLE-REALITY"

In a video posted yesterday on CZWrestling.com, Beef Wellington and Player Uno responded to the Miracle Ultraviolence Connection's (Cheech and Cloudy) challenge for a tag match on May 10th at Best of the Best. In the video, Beef Wellington, citing Greg Excellent's previous engagement on May 10th named Player Uno as his new "best friend" for the day, and accepted Cheech and Cloudy's challenge for a tag match at Best of the Best. In addition, Beef has disturbingly vowed and promised to violate any and all of Cloudy's "orifices" on May 10th.

Anyways... it's official... on May 10th at Best of the Best, Beef Wellington and his bitch Player Uno will face Cheech and Cloudy in a "filler match". Stay tuned to CZWrestling.com in the coming days as we reveal more information regarding Best of the Best on May 10th, and the 2nd half of CZW's May Madness... Tournament of Death 7 on May 17th in Delaware.

It's the true showcase of the Ultraviolent and it defines CZW. It's Tournament of Death. Every year, we gather the sickest, most insane and deadliest Deathmatch wrestlers on the planet and bring them to Delaware for the single bloodiest day in professional wrestling. With lighttubes, barbed wire, thumbtacks, weedwhackers and whatever else the fans bring, men like the WIFEBEATER, the NECRO BUTCHER, SICK NICK MONDO, NICK GAGE and DRAKE YOUNGER have staked their claim as Tournament of Death champions. Who will survive this year's tourney and lay claim to the title of TOURNAMENT OF DEATH 7 Champion?!

Let's take a look at the next 2 entrants into the Tournament:

#7 - DJ HYDE

CZW's own Mastodon will be making his 3rd appearance in the Tournament of Death. While he has yet to take the trophy home, DJ Hyde has been a part of several memorable TOURNAMENT OF DEATH moments including TOD 5 where he was the receipent of multiple weedwhacker shots from the likes of Danny Havoc and Drake Younger. On May 17th however, DJ Hyde will look to dish out the pain as he vows to become TOD 7 Champion.

#8 - SCOTTY VORTEKZ

While he currently makes his living in the tag team ranks, Scotty Vortekz is one of the most skilled Ultraviolent athletes in the world. Vortekz is also no stranger to TOURNAMENT OF DEATH, having peformed well at last year's TOD and reaching the finals of TOD:FF. On May 17th, the former Junior Heavyweight Champion and reigning Tag Team Champion looks to make history by etching his name on the TOURNAMENT OF DEATH trophy.

In addition to the announcement of these 2 competitors, CZW is also pleased to inform you that a Delaware staple... the FANS BRING THE WEAPONS MATCH(s) will return to Delaware in 2008. And of course, this is TOD so break out the light tubes, laptops, keyboards, thumbtacks, tv sets, fishtanks, spare tires, shower rods, toilet bowls, and whatever other sick shit you've got laying around, and haul it to Smyrna on the 17th so we can use it in the Tournament!

DJ Hyde and Scotty Vortekz join the following as participants in TOURNAMENT OF DEATH 7 on May 17th in Smyrna, Delaware:

#1 - TOD 5 and CZW World Champion - NICK GAGE

The words Nick Gage, CZW, and Tournament of Death are synonomous. Nick Gage bleeds black and yellow, and lives to compete at the Tournament of Death. Gage is a multiple time CZW Champion and has competed with the very best the Combat Zone has had to offer, but ask him, and he'll tell you the day he won TOD in Summer 2006 was the single happiest and proudest day of his life. Gage was unable to participate in last year's event due to injury, and has looked forward to this day ever since. On May 17th, Nick Gage returns to his Ultraviolent roots at TOURNAMENT OF DEATH 7!

#2 - DRAKE YOUNGER (TOD 6 and UVU Champ)

Drake Younger is the reigning TOURNAMENT OF DEATH Champion, and also the CZW Ultraviolent Underground Champion. He is one of the toughest, and most resilient deathmatch competitors in the world. He's also battle tested, and at the top of the game. Drake always brings his best to Delaware, and that has to make him one of the favorites to walk away with the TOD 7 trophy.

#3 - BRAIN DAMAGE (TOD:FF and CZW Iron Man Champion)

Brain Damage is built for Tournament of Death. The Ultraviolent Cyborg is the most intimidating force in all of CZW, and boasts a dominant victory at Tournament of Death: Fast Forward in late '07. He posseses one of the stiffest right hands in the world, which he relies on to slug his way to victory after victory. He has no real weaknesses. It's virutally impossible to take him down, and keep him there. Brain Damage will be a force to be reckoned with on May 17th at Tournament of Death.

#4 - DANNY HAVOC

Always the underdog... many believe this will finally be the year for Danny Havoc to capture the TOURNAMENT OF DEATH trophy. Havoc may not look like the most imposing physical specimen, but put a light tube or a staple gun in his hand and he's as tough as any competitor in the entire Tournament. Like many others in this Tournament, he's battle tested and determined to take home his first ever trophy at TOD 7.

#5 - PINKY SANCHEZ!

Pinky Sanchez is known for having a good time. He dances on his way to the ring, dances inside the ring, and dances during his match, and on April 5th at Winner Takes All, he danced his way to victory. His celebration however was short lived as he was attacked by former friend and former CZW fan favorite Danny Demanto. The "Cold Hearted Playa" wrapped a chair around Pinky's head, and buried him with the patented HOGSPLASH... leaving him bloodied and unconscious on the mat. When he woke up from the beating, Pinky made it known that on May 17th, he intends to seek revenge on Demanto for both himself, and the CZW fans in the first round of TOURNAMENT OF DEATH!

#6 - DANNY DEMANTO

At April's CZW event, an uninvited Danny Demanto crashed the ring and ruined Pinky Sanchez celebration after a victorious showing in the "Winner Takes All" match. Demanto claims that just like he made Pinky in CZW, he can end him, and on May 17th at TOD, he intends to do just that. Demanto will certainly have the advantage at TOD in both the obvious size differential, and experience. While he came up short, Demanto was very impressive in his CZW deathmatch debut at '07s Tournament of Death Fast Forward.

TOURNAMENT OF DEATH returns on MAY 17TH to SMYRNA, DELAWARE at BULLDOZER'S SALOON. Stay tuned to CZWrestling.com in the coming days as we reveal the rest of the lineups for BOTB and TOD... all part of CZW'S MAY MADNESS!

Over it's first seven years in existence, Best of the Best has become known as one of the premier tournaments in all of wrestling. Each year, the world's top Light Heavyweights convene in South Philly to display both their aerial, and mat expertise in proving that they are indeed among the most elite wrestlers in the world. From WINGER at the first ever Best of the Best, to B-BOY, SONJAY DUTT, MIKE QUACKENBUSH, RUCKUS AND JOKER... Best of the Best has a track record of taking a star, and making him into a Superstar... who will be this year's BREAKOUT star?

Let's take a look at the final newest entrants into this year's Tournament:

#12 - THE BEST AROUND (TJ Cannon and Bruce Maxwell)

After weeks of speculation, the final entry... or entries into Best of the Best 8 will go to none other than TJ Cannon and Bruce Maxwell.. the high flying tag team known collectively as "The Best Around".

CZWNews received the following message from Lobo regarding TBA's entry into BOTB:

"I've been on the phone with a lot of different names regarding the final spot in Best of the Best, but after a lot of deliberation and a lot of annoying phone calls, I've decided to give TJ Cannon and Bruce Maxwell a shot. They say they are ready to step up to the big leagues... well on May 10th I'm going to give them their shot..."

According to TBA, it was a simple decision...

"Uh, seems pretty obvious to us... How can you have BEST OF THE BEST without THE BEST AROUND? On the 10th, we are coming to SAVE CZW... prepare for the arrival of greatness..."

Let's take a look at the rest of the field for 2008'S BEST OF THE BEST 8!

#1 - PINKY SANCHEZ! (1st BOTB appearance)

In just a matter of months, the flamboyant Pinky Sanchez has become one of the most popular wrestlers in CZW history. He's primarily known for his contagious display of dancing prowess, something he flaunts in excess on his way to the ring, but there's more to the Pink one than meets the eye. Beyond the colorful and unorthodox pink and blue tights lies a very skilled competitor boasting such devastating maneuvers as the Shining-Heinie. Underestimate him, and you will join the rest in having your shoulders pinned to the mat by Pinky Sanchez.

Pinky gained entry into Best of the Best (and TOD) via his dramatic victory on April 5th in CZW's first ever "Winner Takes All" match. A strong performance on May 10th at BOTB could take Pinky one step closer to his dream of becoming CZW Jr. Heavyweight Champion.

#2 - The BLACK JESUS - SABIAN (CZW Jr. Champ, 2nd BOTB appearance)

It almost seems like destiny. For over a year, Sabian's sole focus in wrestling has been to prove that he is the most talented Junior Heavyweight in all of wrestling. He eats, sleeps and breathes Combat Zone Wrestling, and nothing means more to him than Best of the Best. In recent years, the BOTB trophy has belonged to the BLKOUT. Two years ago, it was Ruckus, last year... Joker. If you ask the BLK JESUS, he'll tell you that the trophy is staying with BLKOUT again this year because like Robbie Mireno says... at Best of the Best... "YOU ALWAYS... BET ON BLACK". Will May 10th belong to Sabian, we shall see...

#3 - JOSH PROHIBITION (1st BOTB appearance)

He's been away for a while, but he's no stranger to the Combat Zone. Josh Prohibition is one of wrestling's youngest veterans, having wrestled for and held titles for countless promotions all over the world. While he has accomplished much in wrestling, there's still one thing that Josh Prohibition covets, and that is the BEST OF THE BEST trophy. On May 10th, he returns to CZW with that goal in mind.

#4 - CHUCK TAYLOR (2nd BOTB appearance)

He's extremely annoying, rude, and obnoxious. He's also kinda talented. In just a short period of time, Chuck Taylor has become one of the most talked about athletes in all of wrestling. He's traveled the world, pissed a lot of people off, and won countless titles along the way. Two things he's yet to capture however are the Best of the Best Trophy, and the CZW Jr. Heavweight Title. On May 10th, Chuck Taylor will look to solidify his name in CZW history as the BOTB 8 Champion.

#5 - RICOCHET (2nd BOTB appearance)

Ricochet is one of the most exciting young high-flyers in all of wrestling. His death and gravity defying flips and high-risk maneuvers have continually left fans saying "did you just see that?". Last year, he was impressive in his BOTB debut, advancing to the 2nd round. This year, the young flyer has plans on winning the whole thing.

#6 - DREW GULAK (1st BOTB appearance)

He's one of the hungriest young wrestlers in the country, and possibly the world. Over the last few years, Drew Gulak has grown from "the CZW student", to one of the most skilled and dangerous mat wrestlers in all of CZW. Gulak has made it known that his dream has always been to participate in... and win a Best of the Best tournament. On May 10th, Drew Gulak will have his first shot at making that dream a reality.

#7 - LUFISTO (1st BOTB appearance)

One of the hardest hitters in all of CZW, Lufisto has made history time and time again in the black and yellow ring. In 2006, she shocked the wrestling world when she became the first woman to hold a CZW title, pinning Kevin Steen to become the Iron Man Champion. On May 10th, she will make history again when she steps in the ring to become the first woman to participate in BEST OF THE BEST. If you ask Lufisto though, she'll tell you that she's going to make history in another way... by WINNING the whole thing.

#8 - STUPEFIED (1st BOTB appearance)

One half of the Super Smash Bros., Stupefied is one of the most exciting young wrestlers in the world. Stupefied has recently become a regular on the CZW roster, where he is best known for continually rewriting and redefining the laws of gravity. In just a short period of time, he has made quite a name for himself in his native Canada, but on May 10th, he will look to breakout in America by leaving the New Alhambra with the Best of the Best 8 trophy.

#9 - SPYRAL BKNY (1st BOTB appearance)

One of BOTB 8's more experienced participants, Spyral has made his presence felt since returning to CZW at 9 F'N Years. Having yet to hit the pay window since his return. SPYRAL comes to BOTB with a lot to prove. At 9 F'N YEARS, Spyral let a golden opportunity slip thru his fingers when he came up short in the Aerial Assault Match. On May 10th however, Spyral has vowed to take advantage of this, his opportunity to make history by winning BEST OF THE BEST 8.

#10 - Drake Younger (UVU Champion, 2nd BOTB appearance)

He personifies courage. Drake Younger is the hungry, fearless, Ultraviolent future of CZW. He is one of the toughest and most dangerous wrestlers in the world, and has the TOURNAMENT of DEATH trophy to back it up. What many don't know however is that Drake Younger is a man of many talents in the wrestling ring. At last year's BOTB, Drake went toe to toe with eventual winner Joker in what was considered by many to be the match of the night. This year, Drake returns to BOTB with one goal in mind, to become the first person EVER to capture both the TOD and BOTB trophy.

#11 - Scotty Vortekz (CZW Tag Champ, 2nd BOTB appearance)

Naptown Dragon Scotty Vortekz is one of CZW's most versatile wrestlers. He is the ultimate hybrid inside the ring, capable of mixing it up with the most deadly of Deathmatch opponents, partnering with Dustin Lee to take on the world's best Tag Teams, or tangling with the mat's top technicians, and he does it all well. Scotty Vortekz has most recently made his living in the tag team ranks, but on May 10th, the former CZW Jr. Heavyweight Champion returns to his roots, making his 2nd attempt at capturing the prestigious BEST OF THE BEST trophy.

In addition to the loaded BEST OF THE BEST tournament, May 10th will also feature some huge non-tournament contests, including:

NICK GAGE's CZW World Title OPEN CHALLENGE

DANNY HAVOC vs. NICKY BENZ with Necro's TOD fate on the line!

GREG EXCELLENT vs. BRODIE LEE in a HARDCORE WAR!

BEEF WELLINGTON & his bitch PLAYER UNO vs. CHEECH AND CLOUDY

BEST OF THE BEST 8 comes to South Philly this Saturday, May 10th at the New Alhambra Arena. Tickets for the event are still available on CZWrestling.com, or on the day of the event at the New Alhambra box office. Stay tuned to CZWrestling.com in the coming days we round up the card for Best of the Best, and fill out the card for May 17th's TOURNAMENT OF DEATH in Smyrna, Delaware!

- As we previously reported, AAA is interesting in Teddy Hart and Jack Evans working full-time for their promotion. Hart hasn't committed to moving to Mexico, and says he wants to study for his GED and become a firefighter like his uncle Keith.

He wants to become a fire fighter?!?! What so he can do random backflips/SSP off a burning building? I wouldn't trust Teddy with taking out the garbage let alone saving people from a fire.
