Harrison Ford has revealed that he has been discussing a return to the Blade Runner universe with Ridley Scott.

The Ender's Game star told IGN that he and Scott have been "chatting about" the proposed sequel to their 1983 sci-fi film.

Green Lantern writer Michael Green is reportedly working on the Blade Runner 2 script after following a first draft from the original film's writer Hampton Fancher.

"I remember it with complication, but I'm not there to generate nostalgic moments, I'm there to do a job of work," Ford said of his Blade Runner experience.

"I quite understand that everybody has an ambition when they come and do a film, and everyone's ambition may not be focused on the same thing. I truly admire Ridley as a man and as a director, and I would be very happy to engage with him again in the further telling of this story."

Blade Runner experienced a turbulent production and under-performed at the box office on its initial release, but the movie gained a cult following thanks to its Director's and Final Cut editions and is now recognized as a genre classic.

The film was based on Philip K Dick's novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

Ford's latest movie Ender's Game will open on October 25, while Scott's Michael Fassbender-led thriller The Counselor is due for release on November 15.
While I think the original film is really overrated I realize that a lot of people love it, so at least this sequel would have a built in audience. However, Ford is getting up there in years, can he realistically portray Deckard at this point? Also, I really wish Scott would focus his attention on the Prometheus sequel instead. There's a lot of questions from that movie that need answering damn it!

Ford is in no shape to do a sequel of this magnitude unless they use him and make a CGI younger version of him and he continues to act. I don't know but as much as I liked tue first one I don't want to see another one.

I've actually never seen Blade Runner so a sequel doesn't interest me but I imagine even if I did it still wouldn't interest me much. Sequels 30 years later just feel too late. That said though, I've been meaning to watch Blade Runner for like a month now and I'm pumped for Enders Game!
