They are not getting rid of the term diva. They'll just replace the belt with a women's title. The women will still be referred to as divas
Hmm, that's pretty dumb. Well, it's still a step in the right direction, so let's see if WWE can pull it off

WWE has referred to their women as divas all the way back to Sunny. It is a marketing brand they can trademark. They cannot trademark wrestler or "women's wrestler". They can trademark WWE diva tho. Same reason the men are called Superstars

See, I didn't watch wrestling back then so I may be completly wrong, but I don't believe they called their women divas, they just had women that were divas. However, I see your point with the trademark thing, since this is a company after all, but I (and many others) don't really think calling your fighters "divas" really emphasises that, "Hey, check out these ladies, aren't they badass?"

For example, the TNA Knockouts, badass name that they (*TNA) could trademark

I personally think the term Knockouts is even dumber and more sexist than divas. Granted this is the company who took the name TNA to try and steal ppv buys from softcore porn

Along with the new WWE Women's Championship, the "Divas" have been officially renamed "Superstars"

It looks like a mashup of the WWE WHChampionship, and the IC title. The strap should've been green, like the original Women's title to distinguish itself from the IC title. And the red? It kind of blurs the strike through on the WWE logo. Make it pink or purple. Other than that, it's fine.

I'll still call it the Divas Title, a title Charlotte currently has because she's the most skilled and most beautiful diva in WWE.

So happy she won last night.

I'm just glad the term "divas" will slowly fade away in time. The belt could have looked like anything, so long as it said "Women's Championship" on it.

The announcers were referring to them as Superstars. Good to hear. Now we just need them to stop saying Superstars.

The belt looks pretty cool imo. Since its got similarities to the WWE title it makes it look impressive and makes it look like a top belt.
