Imagine the night after Wrestlemania and the winner of the triple threat cutting a massive anti-diva promo, then throws away the old diva's title and brings out the new one. I'd fucking mark the shit out of that.

Agreed and I think this sort of implies a new champion. In the past (not always but sometimes) a new champion is crowned before introducing a new belt.

Only thing I'm thinking though is that it might be Becky. She seems more like the type to toss out the old belt because it's too dainty. I'm personally hoping for Sasha Banks but who knows.

Good, as long as the newly-renamed women's division is truly taken seriously. This and a Takeover-quality match on Sunday will be a huge step forward.

I'm hoping with the thin card for Wrestlemania that they'll let the women go all out in that match.

It can really go to any of the three that. Sasha can say that "a trash belt like this has no value The Boss." and Charlotte can go off about how "a belt deserving of my time and energy should not look like a child's toy."

Sunny is considered the first diva by the WWE. Sable was called a diva, Trish was referenced as diva frequently as well. It only got prominent in the RA because the women's division got big and consistent then. Before that WWE has always flip flopped on the size of their womens division or if they even have one.

They still referred to the female talent as women far more often than they did Divas. It's similar to 'Superstar' and 'Wrestler'... They've been calling their talent Superstars for the longest time, but if you go back before the Attitude Era, they'd refer to them as pro wrestlers quite often as well. It didn't become a doctrine that they must always be referred to as Superstars (or Divas) until much later.

Different belt. Same crap. 90% of the Divas are crap. Boss is cool. Becky is cool. The rest are terrible.

If they change it to women's and bring up Bayley and Balor I'd just love it. To have that level of interaction between them on the main roster and with a women's title kicking about it'd be epic.

We all seen the "Diva's Revolution" and have fun going Brie Mode in our bathrooms. I say just change the belt, and not try to make a "movement" of it.

I agree. But whilst not making a big deal of it actually do something with it. Get rid of the deadwood and bring up Bayley, Emma etc.. and rather than throw them rubbish gimmicks (Emma and Santino) just ket them wrestle and win fans over. The time is now as to me it seems more than ever the WWE crowd is as much in for wrestling as much as it's still child friendly.

I wouldn't mind seeing who ever wins the belt (I am assuming Char is done for) will just completely rip on the old belt and people like "kelly kelly".

Yeah it'd be cool if they destroyed the Diva's belt and built up the old Women's Championship. Plus it's Mania season so Lita, Trish are all about so have them get involved and give it a push and do something with it and push the women. I mean for me with some of the talent about the Women are no longer a "toilet break" as it used to be on here time ago.

Perfect for Sasha, deserves a real title. Hopefully they do more for feuds with it, instead of highlighting the title to boast about it. Much like the Diva's Revolution, minimal feuds. But every Diva match they just reminded us how it's the Revolution, and we should all be happy! No. Recreate Sasha vs. Bayley, have Becky be what Bayley was in NXT. The underdog who can't win the big one, but when she does it'll be huge.
