Goldust vs. Cody Rhodes feud?

Goldust posted the following on Twitter;

“I love being apart of producing….whether the beautiful divas or the guys matches….love what i do….dont count me out of a cody buttkick

To pass on my knowledge to other youngsters in the biz is a treat for me….knowin what i know and lovin what i do…wwe the only place to be

And even while producing, i miss and hope one day i get to rearrange my brothers faceâ€￾


Could we be seeing Goldust return to face Cody Rhodes? I believe this could be a really good storyline with the family and Rhodes saying how his family is a disgrace to him.

Would you want this to happen? Do you think it will be a good feud?

Possible but unlikely. Don't think it would do much for Cody unless he starts some angle fighting old IC champs (Goldust and Booker T) that I don't want to see.

This is a feud that is pretty inevitable and this is the perfect time for it to happen given his brother held that same title he is holding now. You got the backstory with them being related and could really make a big deal out of the title if done right. You get Booker involved given the fact that him and Goldust have teamed and u can stretch this out for some months and make it interesting. So I hope it goes down personally.

It makes a lot of sense with Rhodes/Booker T having a feud.

Goldust could come out make the save, do a little feud.

This gives 'Prestige' to the belt like Rhodes wanted. I'd be all for it.

Hit the nail on the head there, The older fans will love it, Well personally i would and it can be introuduced to the new school which would cover all area's. Cody is that over as a heel at the moment it couldn't fail...But it has to take place on Smackdown. If it was on Raw it would get over shadowed by crap, It would be ideal if it happened after the Booker storyline but i don't want it to revert back to Booker and Goldusts tag team. It should just be a family rivalry.

I wouldn't mind a Booker and Goldust tag team because of the time of year the feud would take place in. They could have a run with the straps heading into mania and actually make them seem important because they were a legit team, are over, can work, and would give some duo a solid rub on the grandest stage. Plus I don't think I could sit through 4 hours of Book on commentary

Smackdown at this point just needs anything interesting as it just really lacks any stories so yeah hopefully it happens on Smackdown as Raw is already doing fine from the storyline aspect.

Goldust has been hinting at this for a long time. I am sure that eventually we will see a match or two between them but I don't think it will be a huge feud. As others said have him beat Booker T and then lay down the challenge to any former IC champion and have Goldust come out and accept the challenge. Let the fans know that they are brothers, get Dusty on tv for a week or two and finish it with Rhodes defeating Goldust and retaining his title.

It is a bad idea for two reasons.

1. If they are already planning a Booker VS. Cody feud there is no place for Goldust getting involved.

2. Goldust does not have the same name value as he once did and I bet is not going to be in the best shape to produce in the matches. I just don't think it would benefit Rhodes and it would be best for Dustin to stay retired and get involved in other projects.

Over the last two years Goldust has been awesome in the ring when he gets the chance. I'd trust him in a feud like this in ring wise. I just don't see this happening especially based off a couple tweets.

Well personally I don't think Goldust has ever been awesome in the ring, when the character was at its best I was a fan, but the matches weren't always the best.

Goldust's last in ring run was fun and very entertaining. And he was in arguably the best shape of his life. If they played off of their family history, maybe mention Dusty, have him make an appearance and you have a decent feud. Have this feud BEFORE the Booker T feud. Have Booker reference his friendship with Goldust on commentary. Do a backstage segment with the two before a match with Rhodes. After the blow-off match to Goldust/Rhodes is over have Cody do a beatdown bringing in Booker for the save. Goldust loses clean to end the feud and Booker T/Rhodes can pick up from there. Solid booking if this were to go down. Anyone disagree or have a better way to book it?

Yeah, I think Rhodes should be feuding with Orton for a good while longer and if all goes as planned Rhodes will be off these get me over, veteran feud ideas, he'll be apart of the main event scene on SmackDown!.
