I only want the Orton/Rhodes feud to go longer if they put more effort into the actual story because so far they haven't done it enough and making it obvious this is just someone for Orton to beat up on until his time to step back into the main event comes along.

I agree that Goldust was great in his final run. He was in excellent shape and I enjoyed what he did on ECW working with guys like Sheamus and helping them get over. Plus this will be against his brother so I am sure he will step it up to another level and will do all he can to make Cody look like a star.

I also wish that some more time was given to explaining the feud behind Rhodes and Orton. Give them some more promo time and please let Cody win a match clean on PPV. It would be a huge boost for him and losing a match won't hurt Orton at all.

It wouldn't even matter much to me if Cody ever won a match in the feud as long as he got put over in terms of the actual story and still elevated up on the card IE: Austin/Bret feud.

Yeah I just don't want Rhodes to come out of this further down the card. As long as it gets him closer to the mainevent I will be happy.

But I think it would be a step down for Rhodes as I don't think Goldust has the name value anymore to give him a rub, also I think it would benefit the division more for the title to be defended against members of the full-time roster.

For the record as a wrestler I was more of a fan of him as Dustin Rhodes in WCW, he was a very hard worker there and had some exciting matches for whatever reason he never fufiled his poternal.

"The Natural" had quite a few good bouts in the single and tag ranks. Goldust was more about the gimmick then match quality.

I don't think a one-off match would be that big a deal. They can easily work it into Smackdown and have it occur there rather than on a PPV. Anyway this whole thing is just Goldust wanting to have a match with Cody, there is no indication that it will happen.

As a one off match I don't have a problem with it, as long as like you said it was on an episode of smackdown and Rhodes won the match and moved on. I do not see the basis for a whole feud.

I agree Scott, but don't you find it strange how his matches suddernly went down hill as Goldust? In thory it was still the same guy and he had not long left WCW, so why the decline in his performances? Could never figure it out.

Reading his autobiography he was pretty heavily into the drugs during his early runs as Goldust so no doubt that had a negative impact on his inring performances. During his most recent run he has been clean and that is why he is in much better shape and has been having better matches.

I think you'd have a hard time playing the character without drugs.

Especially some of the early versions of the character. At least in the latter stages it was more of an over the top character rather than a truly creepy one.

I think it was two things, focusing too much on gimmicks and quality of opponents. His best WCW bouts were with Guys like Austin and Windham. Although he doesn't get credit before his neck and knee issues, Austin could go.

Personally I'd love a Rhodes vs. Rhodes not sure why it has to be Goldust but I'd see a full four week arc. Have daddy pop in saying Cody is the best IC champ in the family and then you have a dad what about me bam you have a four week arc with Cody using it even to turn face if he wanted.

That could work. I agree that if they ever do a Cody vs. Goldust feud they have to get Dusty involved hell even use him as the guest referee. Not sure about the Cody face turn, I think that he works really well as heel especially this new sinister crazy gimmick he has at the moment.

But if they wanted to turn him further down the line it works or you just have a heel vs heel family feud deal so it doesn't effect his face or heel status.
