Giving Something Back

Hey guys,

As a way of encouraging and rewarding current and potential RPers, the Staff have decided to award ONE REP per show to each person who drops at least one RP for that show - even if you don't fill your cap!

We intend to keep this practice going over the next few weeks - until we have managed to establish ourselves a bit more. So help ACW grow, make your character(s) known, and you will be given something in return!

Giving a rep just seems so cheesy to me. I don't mind, I really don't. But I honestly think an award system should be set up for the e-fed.

Baby steps... we can't go for huge jumps already. Need to have folks established first... then we can get to the awards... so impatient

See I like the idea of awards... and actually... just so you know... it has already been discussed. But right now isn't the best timing as we're still trimming, still ironing out things. If you complicate things too quickly you wind up with chaos trying to get this and that done while neglecting the main goal. Simplicity helps keep things in order and once things are in good enough order then you add on to that plate with something else.

So for the incentive of awards... the answer is... in time.

Rep means nothing just like post count and the like system here is now more popular anyways. I'll be encouraged to RP at my best as long as the competition I have keeps me entertained and right now I'm really digging this fed. Keep it up.

What awards would we be giving out? The usual RPOTM and ROTM? Also, if you don't mind, I'd like to continue doing the OTY awards here.

Roleplay of the Month and Roleplayer of the Month. Each is voted on by all members of the roster, and on occasion, those who do not roleplay, but still read roleplays on a fairly consistent basis.

Yeah those were thoughts... and of course in the event of ties... staff would vote. But yeah those were a couple of ideas. Again not everything is ironed out yet since we're still making sure the fed stays afloat and that is more important than the extraneous things.
