Honestly most of the time that attitude and behavior just comes from the ignorance of not knowing how to better their own lives so they lash out but once they’re able to live their best lived they change usually

Oh I know, I was more speaking broadly, I'd say at the height of Tennant's reign as The Doctor, Doctor Who stopped really being "nerdy" since it had *massive* public appeal and everything. I imagine that if you're an American where DW is less of a cultural institution (since DW now owns the rights to Metropolitan Police Boxes). So I guess it's more a semantics argument.
