If argue most of this board is a nerd in some way. No one should consider it an insult in 2022. That would be more my point that popular nerf stuff isn’t nerdy. It’s just not considered bad anymore to like Star Wars, Marvel etc.

Anime is definitely more socially acceptable nowadays so that’s kind of like what I’m getting at nerd stuff is popular now but I would definitely fight on the hill the anime is still nerd stuff but just acceptable nerd stuff.

I don't know if people in the UK would say Doctor Who is nerdy and I don't think people in Japan would say Anime is nerdy. Both are just culturally accepted as not being niche there.
