Oh I know, I was more speaking broadly, I'd say at the height of Tennant's reign as The Doctor, Doctor Who stopped really being "nerdy" since it had *massive* public appeal and everything. I imagine that if you're an American where DW is less of a cultural institution (since DW now owns the rights to Metropolitan Police Boxes). So I guess it's more a semantics argument.
