I'd be a way more fleshed out character since I like wrestling and sports too.

I think they may have watched wrestling in an episode, but I can remember for sure.

Leonard did try to get into sports for Penny, though.

Leonard always tried to appease Penny. The show did right in finally making her realize what she had

The thing I like about the big bang theory is the characters aren’t really that similar outside of enjoying pop-culture and being professors for the university. I’d argue Leonard when he’s not hanging out with the rest of his friends pretty much is a normal looking dude.

But like I said before the four of them aren’t the same character either like Leonhard likes a lot of things the other three don’t like Howard is a big creep etc.
