97 it was really close, but that was when WWF was really coming into their own with what was going to end up winning them the war and I enjoyed it a lot

Nah, 98 Raw better than '99 Nitro all day and I don't even think 98 Raw is necessarily that amazing

1997 it was totally WCW. WCW mark bias or not, WWF wasn't there yet.

I'd take the Hart Foundation/Austin feud over anything WCW was doing at the time except crow Sting

I'd go split on 1998. I wouldn't want to miss either.

I really just find the characters of the Attitude Era more engaging than WCW's, personally.

As a whole, I agree. But in 1997-1998 WCW hot lightning in a bottle.

That said, Attitude Era was also mostly top guys. They had a lot of lower guys I could care less about, but bless Russo for getting them all angles on TV.

Outside of anything Austin/Foley/Taker, 98 was a mess but they were always at least 50% of the show and were way better than WCW at the time imo, 98 was when they started going downhill but it didn't get real bad until 99

I mean, WCW had Sting, Goldberg and the cruiserweights. Flair sometimes. I'm not really big on rewatching nWo stuff (Sting segments excluded), Roddy Piper, Lex Luger or post-WWF Bret Hart.

I do enjoy watching both companies, but I find myself laughing at how bad WCW was more often than WWF when I'm rewatching old stuff

I'll watch anything involving Rock, Austin, Foley and McMahon. They also had Undertaker and Kane. DX. Owen.

Don't forget DDP, Raven, Kanyon, Saturn, Guerrero, etc.

You're right. I do love DDP during that time.
