And i was a huge fan until she started showing psychopathic tendencies in season 3 when she was ruling over meereen, since then I've said she would be a shit ruler and it was so obvious to me she'd go mad queen that I actually thought it wouldnt happen to "subvert expectations"

It definitely happened TO subvert expectations. Everything built to her being on the throne. Now D&D are like no one gets the throne.

You like the twist? Subvert them expectations, boys. Oh well, just another show that ends so badly that I have toss it in the bin.

What they should have done if Dany was too wild to rule on her own is had her and Jon get married and have Jon rule.

Oh well. It's been real, GOT. I guess at least the Starks get happy endings? Probably?

I've also read the books like 5 times as this point and they're back in season 5, but she never seemed like "the guy" to me, liked burning people too much

I never read the books. I just go by how the show told the story.

I've heard from people who felt like Dany's twist was rushed who said they knew she was crazier in the books, but they didn't tell a lot of those stories in the show. That was one of the problems with D&D. Couldn't put everything on screen and then they ran out of material for the last 3 seasons. They probably should have split more books into multiple seasons. Martin also should finish his books.

Then they spent 8 years building to it for no reason. She's literally the only option here.

Literally no one that was fighting for it is gonna get it at this. None of them.

Also, I wouldn't have "hated" it if she lost fighting Cersei and remained the hero.

It's becoming a bad guy and getting betrayed in the last episode that's bullshit.

There were also lots of other cool contenders in the early seasons that could have gotten it, but they all died.

So the show was a giant waste of time?

If no one fighting for the throne gets it, we spent eight years building to literally no ending at all.

Imagine if Endgame ended with both Thanos and the Avengers having lost and none of the people who died came back.

A show literally about a fight for the throne where NO ONE, not just Dany, but NO ONE actually gets it.
